Having come from the Boston, MA area, I find that many of our Catholic churches tend to be chilly, often due to the drafts coming from windows that remain open after Vatican II. I never expected that I would need to travel to the South to truly experience the celebration of faith as it was meant to be. It’s incredibly refreshing to engage with the faith free from the modernist influences that can sometimes overshadow it. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the pastor and members of Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne, AL, for their unwavering commitment to representing the beauty of Catholicism without compromise. Just a beautiful church. Stopped in while passing thru and it just feels like a safe family place. Great people here too After registering my family at Christ the King Parish in 2005, I can say we have been blessed by our involvement in the Church and school. The Parish Pastor, selected by the Bishop, is always a man of high morality and dignity, with the wonderful gift of presenting beautiful and meaningful sermons. When I walk into the Church for Holy Mass, I enter as a sinner. When I leave, I am always refreshed and feel the presence of Jesus looking over me. You will not find a more loving, kind, or understanding group of parishioners, anywhere. If you need to be lifted up, attend Mass here. You'll be so happy you did! And, it doesn't matter what your first language is. Beautiful church and very friendly congregation. One of the more reverent NO masses I’ve been to. We have been parishioners of Christ The King for many years and we loved this church from day one!! One of my favorite is the Perpetual Adoration Chapel!! It's great to count on being able to adore our Blessed Sacrament any time of the day. The Chapel is now open longer for those who wish to stop in and visit the Lord. The combination lock system code had left us too vunerable when it comes to safety, and it only takes one wrong person to obtain the code and cause harm. The hours have been extended to extend the to 9 P.M., after which the FOB would control entry. We have all ages of worshipers who participate in our continuous adoration of Our Lord, and we just want the utmost degree of safety for our worshipers. Everyone is welcome to come and adore the Blessed Sacrament!! if you would like to come between 9pm and 6am, you just need to call and follow the new procedure. Todos estan, y siempre han estado, bienvenidos a la capilla de adoracion del Santisimo en Christ The King!! Esta abierta de 6 am a 9 pm, despues de las 9pm simplemente deben seguir el protocolo, llamar y registrarse, como guardianes, o pedir una tarjeta para entrada para una vez, esto es para seguridad de todos los guardianes.
