What visitors say
I am visiting in Mobile for about a month. So glad to know this church is open for worship! It doesn't appear that this pandemic has slowed this congregation down at all. They were friendly, even through facemasks and social distancing, the music was worshipful and the sermon was expository and excellent! Seems to be a truly healthy church, from the outside looking in. Being back in church, even as a visitor, after so many months of not being able to attend in person, was wonderful and healing. Glory to our God!! We visited Mobile for two months and searched out a Bible teaching church, which I must admit, is very difficult to find anywhere in the country. This pastor was a graduate of Master's Seminary in California, which John McArthur, a dedicated pastor of over 50 years started. Once I learned that, I knew we had found a church for our stay. We were not disappointed. From the moment we walked into the church, we felt welcome. No "entertainment," just God-honoring music and "open your Bible" verse-by-verse teaching. The congregation was wonderful and reached out to welcome us. Week after week we left the church hungering for more! Now we are back in Florida, and we really miss the teaching we received at this lovely church. The pastor is from South Africa and has a lovely family, and boy, can he preach and teach the Word of God. If you chose to visit this loving church, you will want to return again and again. No fluff in this church! Wonderful preaching & teaching! God’s word is held in the highest regard while practical application is supplied with every sermon. I don't like the fact that they use the ASV Bible. Other than that seem to be nice people. Refreshing to visit this church (coming from IFB)! Enjoyed very much!
