Audio is horrible there. Too loud so that it is all flat under high gain, and the mix is horrible - drums and bass drown out the rest, can't hear the acoustic guitar but the guy playing it doesn't appear to know how to play anyways. They play each song for way, way, way, way, way too long and folks give up in it, put their hands down and just stand there waiting. They have the smokey atmosphere so they copied the others on this. The Sunday 11am service is either a simulcast or re-play, so no one in the sanctuary is giving the message. The message was so-so, lots of scripture referenced, but a lot of filler. Plenty of free parking. The young Asian guy at the desk in the lobby must be on the spectrum because I tried to ask him a simple question and he just looked at me, came around the table and put his hand in my face because I guess he wanted me to shake his hand - all with a blank look on his face. He never said 'Hi' or 'can I help you?'. Being here I can be myself and not feel judged. I trust believe this church has God's word at the very heart and I can't imagine my life without this church. Everyone is so welcoming and passionate and I always feel at home. I have grown tremendously spiritually since I've been here and I can't wait to continue growing. At city hope it's all about Jesus . After years of going to different churches I have found a campus that is inclusive, in no way bigoted, positive, caring and offering some of the best day-to-day human advice substantiated by the truth of The Bible. Kindness and compassion fill the air. The church doctrine is simple; truth, not rules and bylaws supported through human interpretation. Instead here the truth is Jesus, the way is His love. We are a congregation focused by the pastors to praise our Lord and make a difference. Great music, inspired pastors, involved community living Gods way for us. Charged with bringing light to the world...please trust me and check in to what's happening here I was blessed to meet a group of missionaries today that blessed my life with the love of God as they were truly the hands and feet of Jesus. Louisiana is in a state of turmoil and you guys came to meet the needs of many!!! Nothing is meaningless!!!!! I will always remember your church in my prayers! Thank you for helping in our time of great need!!! I have been attending this church for over 7 years. It is a very friendly, upbeat, welcoming place! The pastors love God and love people! Most importantly the teaching is from the Word of God!
