Randal I am sorry you missed our signs.. There is a permanent sign and a sandwich board that is put out on Sunday morning. Our piano player is a wonderful piano player and music leader. I have attended many different churches since I was a child and I find nothing strange about ours, except communion. We welcome all God's children to communion because it is God's table not ours. I love this church. They are eagerly accepting, passionately preaching and joyfully singing. Best choir in town with the best pianist I've heard in decades. The members of this church are led by a fantastic pastor and are all loving and caring people. It doesn't matter if you are straight or LGBTQ, everyone is welcomed and made to feel at home. Love this church. Everyone is welcome here. Very loving, friendly place. I live in Mississippi and still make the drive to mobile as much as I can to go there Not an easy to find location. Didnt see any visible sign, or address. Finally googled it and found it by map. Strange uneven muddy parking area (and I was told they had been operating since the 1970s!!) o.k. I went in the front door, again, no signs, nothing, not even sure if I was in the right place. I looked all over for a welcome information page or something indicating how the service takes place. Nothing. A somewhat aggressive, dressed in men's clothing women said 'Hello." that was it. Not welcome to Cornerstone, or have a seat, or this is for you, etc. Then I noticed the rainbow flag kinda thing draped around a cross near the alter, so I figured i must be at Cornerstone. Hardly anyone here, those that were there very very noisy, loud, and very strange there were a few people mostly women sitting on the stage area just staring ahead and kinda mumbling and sorta singing. Very very weird. Mostly older mannish women here. Maybe two older gay guy couples. A few blacks all in one group. Maybe like 18 people in the whole place. A woman made an announcement and then they played a strange music video that no one there really seemed to know but I guess everyone was expected to sing along to? People talking through the entire service if you would call it that, very loud, more music videos. May be a F.T.M.? person played the piano very loudly a few times, but at least it was lively and better than hearing people talk all around me. Didn't recognize any of the music and they didn't hand out anything to tell you what it was. Sound system kept acting up again im wondering havent they been here since the 1970s? Very strange service the only thing close to a real church was the communion part. Didn't see any men do anything in the service it seems to be a place for older mostly white women only. They never gave me any information and there wasn't any coffee or place to talk after the service and no one ever talked to me, I was the only guy sitting by himself but there was older ladies sitting by themselves up near the front. Never heard of this place until someone told me about it at Pridefest. Looks like they are barely putting on a service and I felt very out of place for being a gay dude by himself and for wearing a shirt and tie like I always wear to a church. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
