My husband and I visited Dayspring Church in Pelham, Alabama last Sunday, and we truly felt like our prayers had been answered. We were visiting from out of town because we are looking to relocate and retire in the Pelham area. We had been praying not only for the right place to live, but also for the right church home. Finding a church home is not easy for most people, but I can tell you this: God is so good, and He answered us. The first church we pulled up to had only one car in the parking lot. Out of respect for that church, I will not mention the name, but we were uncertain if there was a service or if it was the right place for us. So we quickly looked online and found Dayspring. It was only about a five-minute drive away, and we were hurrying because we knew the service was about to begin. As soon as we pulled up and parked, we saw more cars. When we got out, the door opened wide and a young man greeted us warmly. As we walked in, we were welcomed by Diamond at the front desk. What a beautiful smile she had. The warmth was felt immediately as we crossed the doorstep. We walked down the short hallway into the main worship room and found our seats. As we came in, we were met with smiles and kind words: “Welcome,” “Thank you so much for coming today,” and “How are you?” We were not sure what to expect or where to go, but God led us to a place we now know will be our church home when we finally make our move to Pelham. What you will find at Dayspring is an incredible pastor and wife, along with a warm, welcoming, wonderful congregation. It felt like we had found family — brothers and sisters in Christ. When you come here, you will not feel like a number. You will not feel like an outsider. You will feel like part of a community, part of a family, and part of something greater as this church continues to grow. Pastor Tye and Rhonda were gracious enough to walk us around and show us the different rooms, spaces, and plans for future growth. The next morning, we went to breakfast together and continued our conversation. It was so comfortable — no awkwardness, no trying to force conversation, just beautiful fellowship between two couples who love the Lord. I did not want to mention this in the beginning, but my husband and I are a white couple, and we have never felt this much love before in any church we have been in. God does not see color. He does not see race. He does not see financial demographics. He sees the heart. We are all wanting the same thing: to worship a God who loves us all, who is our Father in heaven, and who created us all. In this place, God’s love rises above all of those things. If you have been looking for a place where you feel that the person sitting next to you, across from you, or standing at the pulpit truly sees your heart and loves you with the love of God, this is the place for you. Here, you will feel like you are part of something. Here, you will feel the family you have been looking for. Here, you will feel something different — that you are part of God’s Kingdom, and together we stand unified in Christ Jesus. Thank you so much to Pastor Tye and Rhonda. We were so blessed by both of you and by your congregation. We were blessed by the friendliness, the welcoming spirit, the worship, the teaching, and the fellowship. We are so looking forward to being part of the weekly services when we move. Thank you so much, and God bless. Had a wonderful time at Day Spring Church! I visited for the first time on 19 Oct 2025. The pastor and his wife are two beautiful people led by God and it evident in their ministry. I felt very welcomed by the congregation and the message delivered was an on time word. A remarkable Pastor with an exceptional sense of church spirit. Great Church!! Have been blessed to attend here as well as the FIYA Conference and love it so far!
