What visitors say

This establishment is an excellent depiction of 21st century Christianity and helped expedite my exit from the religion. They proudly drop millions of $ on facilities that get used for a total of...MAYBE 10 hours per week? Instead of directing that money towards people in need and just doing church under a big tent. I would be interested to see what % of tithes go towards actually helping people in need vs the % that goes towards maintaining low-use facilities and paying salaries. It's just so weird to me that people continue to participate in something like this and then will say that they're somehow...helping the world? All they talk about is essentially becoming a better person, but then where does all of their time and money go? To a glorified book club with cool modern music? Almost zero energy expended towards "spreading their word" outside of the 4 walls, even though they believe people who don't believe will spend an ETERNITY being tortured...? You will never hear them talk about getting together to go spread the gospel to people across the street, even though they are supposedly filled with the undying, invincible Holy Spirit of the Creator of the Universe? What could they possibly be afraid of? And how could they not want to do such things if they actually believe what they say they do? It simply makes no sense. I mean if you knew nothing about Christianity and then attended this church, you would just think that it's a fancy book club and nothing more. People love going to church here because it matches their "aesthetic". Ask them about what makes their religion the "true religion" instead of the 1000 others and they will have no answer for you other than saying that their book says so... They are just blind followers who like the vibes of the organization. People's motivations for joining a church like this are more akin to people's motivations for joining a country club than a humanitarian movement. Christianity is just an upscaled cult. Once you pay attention to all the talk about "hearing" the voice of God, blood, death, suffering, spirits, spiritual warfare, sacrifice, good vs evil, holy books, rising from the dead, and prostrate worship of an imaginary being you realize that it's all actually very odd and unhealthy. Just because a lot of people believe this stuff doesn't mean you have to. You don't have to be religious whatsoever. We visited this church on Sunday, November 20, 2022 because we were in town visiting my daughter who is attending the University of Arkansas. I was thoroughly impressed with the church, and would very likely attend regularly if I lived in Northwest Arkansas. One of the things that I was most impressed with was that many in the church leadership are doctors. Having scholarship behind the word is something that I have been personally looking for in my spiritual journey. I appreciate that they have it. The facilities were immaculately maintained. The church felt safe with uniformed Washington County Deputies onsite. The free coffee is always appreciated and allowed in the sanctuary. Dress and the worship style was casual and uplifting. The message was bold, especially for being in a university town, but also grace-filled. They understand the importance of speaking the truth, gracefully. I heard a huge emphasis on welcoming and loving people where they are in their life and not condemning people because their sin may be different than mine. Before we went into service we were welcomed and struck up conversations with no fewer than three other people. The conversations were genuine and unforced. The service was crisply delivered and we were out and on with the rest of our Sunday. It’s clearly not an accident. The leadership here knows what they are doing, they understand logistics, and they have designed a service around people’s lives. I truly enjoyed the experience and see the Lord at work in this congregation. I wish I lived in the area where I could attend more often. Warm, welcoming people. Bible-based message I am glad my daughter at UARK has found a church that has solid teaching! I enjoy going to church with her when I am in Fayetteville. Side note - seats are cushy! The preacher tried to say to a bunch of kids that their animals don’t have souls on Easter. How messed up do you have to be in the head preaching the word of God and say that to a bunch of kids. get out of. Everything on the planet has a soul by the way. Should be judged hard at the pearly gate. It probably won’t make it in.
