What visitors say

I attended the Easter egg hunt hosted by The River Church NWA in Centerton, and I am beyond upset with how it was handled. This was not just disorganized. It was dangerous. There was zero structure, no clear direction, and no visible effort to manage the crowd of children. What should have been a simple, joyful event turned into a chaotic free for all. Kids were running in every direction with no guidance or control. At one point, my daughter was almost trampled. Let that sink in. At an event designed for children. That alone should have been enough to stop everything and regain control. But instead, the situation was made even worse. In the middle of all of this, they chose to get on the microphone and share a “testimony” that included topics like sexuality and suicide in front of a crowd full of young children. That is not just inappropriate. It is a complete failure of judgment. There is a time, a place, and an age appropriate way to approach those kinds of deeply serious and complex topics. A chaotic Easter egg hunt filled with young kids is none of those things. Parents were put in the position of having to immediately filter or explain heavy, adult subject matter to their children with no warning and no consent. For an event centered around families and hosted by a church, this showed a serious lack of care, discernment, and responsibility toward the very people they were supposed to be serving. When you host something for children, physical safety and emotional awareness should be the bare minimum. This event failed on both. For all of this, I would give this experience 1 star, if not 0. Families in this community deserve better than what was delivered here. This church is spirit led and powerful. If you are looking to be spirit filled this church is for you. I am passing through NWA with my girlfriend and we attended this church. The Pastors and the people were so welcoming, loving, and friendly. We left feeling very blessed that God led us there. If you are reading this go visit this church. This is your sign. God Bless. The Lord led my husband and I to this church 2 years ago and we have experienced spiritual growth along with healings from past traumas. Pastor Dale and Lucy do what the Holy Spirit says, love the Lord and serve His people with the love of God. If you want to live in freedom, see miracles, signs and wonders, live the abundant life, walk in peace, joy and so much more, then come to The River and jump in with us. Great church !They let the Holy Spirit move and the Lord‘s presence is very strong in the building! great teaching and they offer prayer about every Sunday if you need it .God is moving in this place. A church alive is worth the drive. From the first time I stepped in the door Pastor Lucy was there to met me. I have never seen a Pastors wife willing to spend TIME with the ladies outside of a church service or bible study. She is so full of life, love and joy it just bubbles out! The way she and Pastor Dale show love for each other is so heart warming and needed in times like these. They are the real deal! Nothing phony, hurtful, or bitter in their soul. They just ooze the JOY and LOVE of Heaven without being fake. Come see and experience Heaven on Earth.
