What visitors say

My family and I have been attending Shepherd’s House Bible Church since the start, and what a blessing that has been for us! Even with rapid church growth, every member remains a priority to our pastors and elders in the shepherding of your soul (2 Timothy 3:16-17, ESV). We are truly known by church leadership, and are forever thankful for their biblical counsel along the way in our personal walk with Christ, marriage, parenting, etc. We also love their Kids’ Ministry, our children truly look forward to going and we feel confident dropping them off knowing what they’re being taught is true, not a watered down program. If you are looking for a home church, our family cannot recommend Shepherd’s House Bible Church enough! -Team Bryan Super Sweet congregation/ welcome team! We were visiting AZ from TX and were thankful this one was recommended to us by some dear friends! I enjoyed being able to utilize the cry/nursing room with my little one! I also really enjoyed the fact that even though Costi is more of a “celebrity pastor” in the fact that he’s very popular he’s very down to earth and makes himself available to chat with after service! My husband & our 2 adult sons really enjoy this church & it's Pastor, Costi Hinn. He is a sincere teaching Pastor & came out of "Word of Faith/Prosperity Gospel" like we did. He has a powerful testimony you can find on YouTube from about 7 years ago at Redeemer Church. This is it!! Been coming since December and I wanted to say, for those objective parts in the negative reviews those issues have been adressed. Costi met us and shook everyone’s hand while they served us food at the membership meeting. And after that he took our questions, when I asked him about preaching on Penal Substitutionary Atonement he said he did and two months later on Good Friday he followed through . He sticks around after every service and I’ve talked to him several times. Listen to his book to understand what he’s been through and where he’s coming from. This is a guy who left all earthly possessions to sleep on the floor and become a real pastor. He had all the material stuff but cared more about his soul , his relationship with God and the wellbeing of his wife than he did about status and wealth. Something that every maturing Christian should consider familiar when it comes to priorities. After every sermon you are publicly invited to: A-approach Costi and the staff to ask questions. B- go to the prayer team and describe your situation and literally fellowship right then and there. C-go to the welcome center and talk to someone about the church, the fellowship programs and what it is all about. In fact , we asked for help about two things right away: Bringing chairs, they accommodate us every Sunday for 5 months straight. Meet right away with pastor Brett about a pressing issue without ever being members, it is not members only vibe. Johnny Mac pushed really hard against the mental health and drug pushing industry to the point he went overboard by denying that mental health issues exist. That is not the case with Costi, he’s in record on his “For the gospel” podcast acknowledging that mental health is real and it should be treated with care and compassion. Something that the negative reviewer didn’t do by using John MacArthur statements to make Shepperds guilty by association. That is a pattern that mimics the spirit of the accuser ( look for the translation of that in Greek in the Bible). None of the negative reviews are accurate enough and they don’t understand two things. 1. Going to church is not about them. It’s about worshipping God and recognizing who we are. Not about God making you feel better about yourself but about growing to Love God more and that requires maturity and vulnerability. So yes, the Chanti by Shane and Shane “our sins they are many his Mercy is more” is about Gods mercy upon deadly sinners who are destroying His creation, including themselves. If you don’t have the humility to accept that you don’t understand the magnitude of the danger you were in and have not accepted the seriousness of your sin. 2.-Spiritual Maturity looks like pride to those who haven’t been prepared to eat spiritual meat but still require milk, like it says in the book of Hebrews. They find true love repulsive because they have been catered to their whole lives. It’s the customer is always right seeker sensitive mentality. Costi and the Church staff does not have to answer to them. They have to answer to God. And Costi, unlike many pastors actually recalls that he knows he has to meet God to hear what God has to say about whether he did what God commanded and was faithful to shepherd Gods own Bride, the Church. These people don’t understand that the Church belongs to God , not to them and that they are not customers, but they belong to God. A true friend calls you out on your b.s. instead of telling you what you want to hear , and there’s a word for that, sanctification or pruning instead of tickling your ears like it says in Romans 1. If you are a struggling with the consequences of your sin and to recognize it for what it is, why do you blame a church for your life decisions and expect it to bend to its consequences ? Remember what Jesus says in Mathew 7:13-14: Enter through the narrow gate and the compressed way. For narrow is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to salvation. Christianity is not supposed to be a picnic. Christ reminds us of that, we’re to pick up our cross and follow Him. If you want to learn about the Bible this church it's a great place to start and learn very beautiful people
