Let me start by saying that I haven’t attended a service at this church yet but I will! I was raised in a Lutheran environment here in Phoenix, but I never felt fully accepted or welcomed. Over time, I drifted away from church and religion as a whole, though I still take a deep interest in what faith and community can mean. I have always hoped to find a church that practices what it preaches with authenticity. Reading this church’s testimony in support of Prop 139 moved me deeply, and I shared it with as many people as I could. This, to me, is true Christian love. This is real community. It takes brave individuals to stand up where others won’t, and I believe this church embodies that courage. I hope those who have been hurt by harsh, unjust treatment in religious settings as children can find healing here—a place where love truly replaces the harm caused by hateful institutions. I was raised in a Missouri Synod Lutheran Church in Wisconsin and have struggled to find a church and community since moving to Gilbert 27 years ago. As mentioned in another review, I also took note of Chalice's support for Prop 139 and felt the need to check out this church. Today I attended the service and was greeted warmly by Pastor Jay and members who are all kind, genuine and authentic. We are Mormon and love this church because the people in it that live, love and teach by example, what Christ taught! Our Son started coming here when he didn't feel welcome, by our church leaders, at our church anymore. We started coming with him and have been loved and accepted as he is. The community outreach here is also amazing! Try it, I'm sure you will feel the comfortable, loving embrace as we have! Very nice church, everyone made me feel very welcome. I am visiting from out of town. Pastor was down to earth and sincere. I will revisit if i pass thru again. Great AA meeting located here
