Hello! My husband and I have been attending New Hope Community Church for a little over a year now and we absolutely love being part of this wonderful community. They also have a great Children's Ministry. My kids love going to their classrooms where they learn about Jesus, all while having fun and meeting other kids their age. Pastor Ken speaks to us in such a way where can really bring what he is preaching about back to each of our own lives and really apply it to our own personal stories and walks with God. I really enjoy the way he delivers each week's message. The Bible can be very intimating when you don't understand what you are reading. He really breaks it down well week to week and you don't leave the sermon confused or scratching your head wondering what we just talked about. He breaks down verses and really drives each point home. He is truly passionate about Jesus and it really shows! I really do enjoy those my family and I have met there and the community we are getting to know there. We continue to grow daily in our walks with God and I look forward to our Sundays at New Hope! Very friendly, Bible teaching pastor/church. All ages were welcomed, plus the music was great! Today will be my second time coming here to NHCC. The band sings and plays very well. The pastor is very passionate about the community and bringing us all closer to God. He is very engaging and I like that. If your local and decide one day to come in. I bet you'll enjoy it!!! Peace and love ❤️ My family and I visited New Hope Community Church this morning and really enjoyed the experience. The pastor had just returned from a 2-month sabbatical, so it was nice to get to hear from him how well this local body functioned in his absence. (SIDE NOTE: I think that is amazing! Even Jesus took his time in the wilderness and I think those in ministry need to take time away occasionally as well. Kudos to New Hope for enabling that to happen for Pastor Ken!) We were warmly welcomed by a greeter outside of the building and once inside a member of the board and praise and worship team introduced himself to our family and recognized that we were visitors. We really appreciated the warm greetings; the first greeter even made a point to follow up with us as we left the service. It was nice to be noticed as new and welcomed without it being overdone. The praise and worship was really nice, the members of the team are very talented. We enjoyed the song selection and the sincerity of the team in helping usher the congregation into the presence of the Lord. It was refreshing to see a congregation fully engaged and active in the worship. The message was in the book of Acts covering the encounter of Phillip and the Ethiopian Eunuch. One of the main takeaways for our family was that sometimes God asks you to take a path, even when you do not know where that path may lead. We are called to act in obedience and just go, trusting in the Lord. In this case, Phillip’s obedience was an answered prayer for the Ethiopian Eunuch. We know that this encounter helped enable the Good News to spread from Jerusalem to the continent of Africa. This passage led wonderfully into a time of baptism for four individuals. Being as there were baptisms, the message was short, powerful and left us wanting even more! As the service moved into the baptisms, we heard the testimony of the four individuals that were being baptized and were truly blessed to hear how Jesus had changed their lives. There is power in testimonies and there is no greater miracle than the transformed life through an encounter with the risen Jesus! I commend New Hope for not rushing through the baptisms and allowing us all to hear from each of those being baptized and to be able to deeply share that experience with them, their family and friends. Overall, our experience today was outstanding and we pray that God will continue to use this local body to reach the Gilbert community. We whole heartedly agreed with a quote from the pastor “Found people, find people!” and we are confident that New Hope will continue to do that very thing! My children and I have been attending for 2 years now. I found this church by searching you tube sermons of local Pastors. Pastor Ken's honesty, directness and heart for Jesus and his people brought us here. The people that attend are of all ages and welcome you with open arms. We love our Church Family
