We love it here! We’re a late 30s/early 40s family with a 2nd grader, trying to survive the modern age of busyness, overconsumption, technology, and everything else that isn’t new under the sun. We found a respite here at Moon Valley Bible Church. They truly live up to their call of “relationally safe, biblically sound”and their mission to bring life! Every Sunday is like taking a pause from the chaos and noise around us and stepping into a calming and positive environment. Don’t misunderstand though, while the experience has been rejuvenating for us on a deep level, thoughtful and peaceful, the facility itself and the programs for our child, are current and fun! They have an amazing playplace and areas for the littles up to the teens! They have lots to offer as far as free family events, outreach, volunteer opportunities, bible study, etc. They even have free mentorship which has been life changing for both my husband and myself. Finally, the preaching is phenomenal. Not fluffy or misguided or lacking. It’s based on the Bible, it has substance that is actually applicable. I’ve personally never experienced anything like it. Have been attending here for a little over a year now. Wonderful church. The preacher preaches from the Bible with the perspective that it is 100% accurate and divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit. His messages are very revealing and 'scholarly'. His wonderful sense of humor comes through in his messages. The worship band is rather contemporary, but hymns are heard as well. The music is very uplifting. Try this church out if you're looking for a church, or a different church. We did, haven't looked back since. Just come and visit.... sit in the back and observe and drink coffee... it's a very relaxed atmosphere. This church family is currently in the midst of a whole heap of change. New construction is on the way, but the biblical teaching and grace filled church family are the same as they always have been. To this day, have never found a more welcoming church home. My wife and I had wandered from church to church of various Christian faiths, searching for one that felt right and comfortable for us. I, for one, was always annoyed with over zealous greeters who seemed to pounce on new visitors like salesmen at a car dealer. Friends invited us to Moon Valley 6 years ago. We have been going there ever since and became members three years ago. We found that senior pastor, Bob Kerrey, had a welcoming spirit about him and delivered his sermons in a self deprecating and humorous manner while also explaining scripture in such lay man's terms that we actually learned more about the bible than we ever had before elsewhere.
