I had been to this church a few times in the past. I have become closer to the Lord and have been looking for a place to call home. There are a lot of churches to go to and I personally believe you should find a good fit. If you don't try a church out either on YouTube or by going in person you won't be able to know. This church is close to my home location. I first contacted MVLC on their website. I believe I just filled out the form. I was so surprised when Pastor Doug sent me a text to attend a special program. He was so kind and It was so nice to get a personal text from the head Pastor. I was really shocked to say the least that someone took the time to personally invite me. I was feeling pretty good and decided to go. I met Pastor Doug in person he was so friendly, he really made me feel at home. After going to the program I decided to watch their YouTube Christmas Eve 10:30am program for me it was wonderful. So I decided to go to the church that evening at 7:00pm. Again, Pastor Doug made me feel welcome when I came into the church. The service to me was more than what I expected. Oh my did I have a treat just hearing everyone sing with the choir it was such a beautiful sound. The sound was so powerful. It felt like this strong straight heart connection to our Lord. Pastor Doug's messages were from the bible. The program was a great mix of learning more about our Christ Savior being born and praising our Lord. So to sum up this long review, for those of you that aren't sure, I would absolutely give Pastor Doug, the MVLC team and volunteers a try. We are all His children and we are all here to love one another. I have found my place of worship and I couldn't be happier. Maybe I will see you there. I been going to this church all my life. I was raised in Ahwatukee ' I was baptized here at this church back in 82. When I come for service I feel like I am home. The services are excellent here. It a beautiful church the pastor is very nice. I find great comfort when I am here . The congregation is probably the friendliest and warmhearted group I have felt. My wife and I have been going here for years. They have always been there for my family in times of need. The congregation is warm and loving. The doctrine is Lutheran, and the services are great, both contemporary with a modern guitar-lead band and a marvelous, medieval bell choir. This is a treat me and my wife (from Germany) heartily enjoy when in Germany and are amazed to experience it at Holy Cross. I've been to Churches where the request to give are overdone, and you feel very pressured. I have never, ever felt anything but comfortable here. I am so happy to have a community at Holy Cross. The Pastors are wondaful and caring and preach the true message of Christ, Love and Forgiveness, because to be human is to err, and we are all human. I have attended service at Mountain View since 1983. The pastors are great preaching from the Bible and experiences. Fellow worshippers are friendly and seen most every week. Many activities for local communities and Bible studies that open conversation to all who join. Very good for learning anything you gain knowledge for. I feel God's presence in this church and frequently I get great sensations such as the hair standing up on my body, feeling comfortable and happy sticking around after service enjoying others, snacks and coffee.
