I love this church! I have always felt welcomed and comfortable. The pastor personally greeted us the first day we attended and then actually remembered us when we returned! The sermons are Bible based, encouraging, and challenging. My kids love all their sunday school classes and activities like free, top-notch Vacation Bible School. There are lots of groups for adults as well. A great family atmosphere and overall fabulous church! I have been attending North Hills Church for 5... almost 6 years. I want to share that this church is unlike any other church I have attended for several reasons. First, the people are real, which means that they have made mistakes and can relate to where you might be; but they have been forgiven and strive to reflect God's Love. Secondly, our pastors are down to earth, not acting like they have everything perfectly together in their lives, making it easier to relate with them. Thirdly, this church will become a great support system, if you let them; meaning you have to get involved, active and become vulnerable yourself. I remember the first time we came, we waited awkwardly, all alone for service to start and the most genuine man came to welcome us... come to find out later that was Pastor Jim. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Pastor Jim better through taking classes, premarital counseling and going on a mission trip with him. He cares so much for his church family, he is passionate about our church making a difference in the community and world wide. Our other pastors are also excellent! Pastor Lori is on fire for the Lord! Pastor Jeff is very entertaining but is very serious about teaching the word and helping people find their purpose! And honestly, I do not know much about the newest pastor, the youth pastor, but from hearing his sermon, he is committed to helping make disciples for Christ. The office staff incredible and the volunteers alike. I know that it is hard to figure out what reviews to believe but after reading my churches reviews I was appalled that anyone would post such untrue, unkind things. If you try our church out and have a problem, it is only fair that you would bring up your concerns, NOT TRASH TALK..... it is an individuals responsibility to resolve a conflict, not gossip about it!!!! This is a really great community church! People really come together and help one another at this church the way the early church is described in the Bible! They set a good tone for how Christians should behave. 🥰❤️ This is a wonderful church filled with grace-giving people. The mission of the church is to help people find freedom, so you'll find a diverse cross-section of people from all different walks of life and with all different backgrounds and experiences. Come as you are but expect to be stretched and encouraged to better yourself and the lives of those around you. Many of the regular attendees have amazing redemption stories, where they've turned their lives around completely and found grace and forgiveness from their past mistakes. I find that inspiring... I mean, isn't that the big idea behind Jesus' whole purpose on earth?! The church has also made an enormous effort to be a part of the community and to care for those who are struggling. There are many free events for local families, a food program, and a large number of foster kiddos that participate in activities organized for them by church members. I have 4 kids who have attended all ages/stages of the children's ministry, after having gotten to know the teachers/leaders in each classroom, I am confident that my children are in good hands while they are on the campus. I really appreciate the children's ministry leaders since my kiddos are my #1 priority in finding and attending a great church. I am a 23 year old army veteran and I will say this church saved my life. I work with the kids often voluntarily. As far as financially they do the best they can. This church has a food bank and does many many events for the community. Every Sunday is amazing as is every Wednesday and monday and every other day I get to spend with these disciples. In a time my regular family left me the north hills family saved me. God bless.
