I want to share my honest experience with this church because I believe transparency is important for anyone considering joining. When I first came, I was hopeful to find a welcoming, loving community where I could grow in my faith. Unfortunately, I found the atmosphere to be unwelcoming. I believe Jesus would listen to people’s feelings and struggles with compassion. Sadly, when I shared my honest thoughts on their social media, I was blocked rather than heard. That response made me feel even more excluded. If you’re looking for a church where openness and genuine listening are prioritized, I encourage you to keep searching. Faith communities should be a place where everyone feels valued and supported. I pray that this church grows in grace and hospitality, but for now, this was not the experience I had. Music was far too loud for the space. We arrived “too early” and were shuffled to go to either Panera Bread or Starbucks… No offer to wait in the lobby seating. We ended up leaving and won’t be back per the drive distance (came from Laveen). Update… reply from Chris, who did “greet’ us, forgot to mention we literally had to yell at each other to get to the point we did. We left the lobby outside and walked around building and left after agreeing music was going to be far too loud. I would recommend adding coffee, water and donut “times” to your site if arriving early is frowned upon to scope out a new church home. Kind of the reason for landing early if I’m honest. I have been attending Valley Church since October 2024 after not having been to church in years. I was brought up Catholic but never really practiced my faith. Coming to Valley Church has renewed my faith and I am excited to attend services every Sunday and even groups during the week. Everyone is nice and welcoming and I am excited and thrilled to be a part of Valley Church. Valley Church is the best! The community is unmatched. Since I’ve joined, I’ve made friends I couldn’t imagine my life without now. Pastor Chris messages are always on point and hit home. The worship is beautiful and the kids team will help your kids have a fun morning while also helping them know Gods word. I Found God in the Valley(one of the Valley Church T Shirts), but it's true I found him at Valley Church. To my surprise I also found an amazing community, life long friends, a dope place to hear a sermon and to worship God, a way to positively impact the city of PHX, and share the gospel with others! Valley Church is a place where you can experience God and not feel pressured, you can be yourself and be accepted, and you can learn about Jesus in a fun way with some cool peeps. Vally Church is a 10 out of 5!
