As parents, we were deeply disappointed to learn that this church provided premarital counseling to two minors without informing or obtaining consent from either set of parents. Given that they were still minors, we believe parents should have been included in such a significant process. Whether others agree or not, we feel churches have a responsibility to exercise wisdom and encourage family involvement when counseling minors about marriage. This experience left us feeling that parental guidance and communication were not given the consideration they deserved. We encourage parents to ask questions about Highlands of Scottsdale’s policies regarding counseling for minors so they can make informed decisions. It makes us question this church’s foundation and beliefs as it contradicts what is portrayed on their website. We also hope the church reviews its policies to ensure parents are appropriately involved when providing such counseling to minors. Second time coming here for a concert and I can honestly tell you that it's simply the best! Wide comfortable seating, very reasonable concession prices and an amazing staff! It's not just a church, but also a performing arts theater! Can't wait to see next seasons line up! I went here for the Mary Poppins play put on by Shine Theatre Company . It was an Excellent and mind blowing performance. These are some extremely talented actors. I am told they also have Shows That's All Special Needs cast/ actors too. Mary Poppins was an all inclusive show. I can see why they have performances here at the Church because it's got a great stage. You can see every part of the stage from any seat. It's a Lovely church. They have a large building site with facilities for different activities. I highly recommend everyone to go and see Mary Poppins and any other shows that The Shine Theatre Company puts on. My son and I really had a wonderful time. I don't go to church here but I use their playground that is brand new and for public use. It has its has amazing shade for kids and adults and the shaded area for the adults it has misters going all day long. The playground is very nice with astro turf and even a nice splash splash pad for the kiddos. This is a great playground for the summertime! Beautiful church, but not today. Hosting AZ Music fest, the Evil Woman ELO tribute show was terrific! The church auditorium acoustics and sound system were top notch.
