I've never felt a deeper connection to a church in my life. The way Pastor Jamie Rasmussen & Rustin Rossello resonate with me is unlike anyone I've ever met. It truly is a cathartic experience. I think Sheila below missed the sermon last week about cooperative santification! I'll pray for her. A great place if your ears are itching for a feel good sermon. Last Sunday’s sermon was about how you don’t have to worry about death because you’re going to heaven. Sadly, the whole part about how to spend your lives here on earth was missing. Nothing about how to walk out the good works set before you, or advice to dive into scripture to maintain a relationship with God, or to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. He says that Paul (the apostle who devoted his life to evangelism!) wasn’t scared of death, so neither should we be. He did say that our bodies are only tents, so not to spend so much time worrying about our bodies - but didn’t get to what should have been the bulk of the message - Focus on God’s kingdom and eternal matters. Also, this satellite of a mega church does not even offer coffee. You have to buy it - over $5 for a latte! But, if you want to hear a full orchestra, pay Starbucks prices for a bad cup of coffee, then hear a sermon that mashes you feel good - by all means. This is your church. Great community to get involved in. When I moved to Arizona I felt a part of a great community. I especially felt at home with a great group of young adults that meet regularly which is often hard to find in churches today. Can’t say enough good about this church. You feel at home at the first visit and fall in love with the warmth and kindness of the people and the atmosphere. Attended my friend's celebration of Life and it was a very nice place. Very welcoming and we'll kept.
