Honestly, one of the best church experiences I’ve had. The first time me and my wife came in we expected to slip in the back row and not be spoken to as that has been our experience at many a church. However, as soon as we got there we were greeted by a kind man named Ted who talked to us for sometime and made us laugh a bit. We then went into service, and that same kind, humble man walked up on stage and began to preach. What a refreshing breath of air to be met with such a loving, fun community. Sermons are straight from the Word, no funny business but a lot of funny jokes. In a world of extremity in churches swinging one way or the other; this church focuses on the love and truth, not bending or compromising His Word to fit what’s convenient for man. A few months later and we have many friends and a home church I brag on to my family about. So, so grateful we stopped by one Sunday. If you’re thinking about trying a church or just trying church in general, give this one a try. You will neither be condemned or be asked to give money; but there’s a good chance you might make some friends, have a good laugh and hear a good word. I’m so grateful I found Catalina Church North through the reviews. It truly lives up to the praise! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at home. The teaching is heartfelt, grounded in Scripture, and easy to connect with. Pastor Ted is amazing, genuine, wise, and relatable. His wife Jenny is just as wonderful. She’s so kind and warm, and you can really feel her heart for the people. One of the things I love most is how much this church values connection and community. Everyone is kind, approachable, and intentional about making you feel like part of the family. My daughter loves coming too, which means so much to me. I’m so glad we found our church home! My husband and I recently found ourselves looking for a new church, and though it can be intimidating to walk into a church where you don’t know anyone, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness as if we’d been attending for years. It’s a great place to go and feel right at home, with thought-provoking sermons and a lovely congregation. I love this church! Start your Sunday sipping coffee with friends while your kiddos learn about Jesus through games and interactive stories. Connect to God with a worship band that should be touring. Listen to a powerful sermon from the Bible with people that aren’t afraid to laugh at a seriously funny pastor. You could go home afterward, but it’s too fun connecting over food in a place where people are genuine, kind, and living a life of gratitude to God. There is openness about struggle, a culture of pressing forward, and friendship that reaches outside Sunday. Jesus is alive here. I enjoy being greeted with a smile, a hug, coffee, and donuts. I love the way the sermons connect to our everyday lives, there is humor, sadness, joy and unconditional love. The way they are presented makes it so easy to apply to everyday life. We are a community of people who care about each other. We are a family here. This church is very family oriented. There activities for the children that brings Gods word to them on their level of understanding. There are faith based activities for the teens and college students as well. There is lunch after church. We eat and socialize with each other. We pray together.
