This town needs more churches like this. My family has attended for about four years and from the first time we came we were welcomed as family. Any church I've been to, the service ends, and everyone is in their cars driving home in 15 minutes. Not this church. People will hang out and talk and catch up after church for at least 30 minutes and once a month we do a potluck. Pastor Al does a great job of bringing the word of God each week. His preaching is straight from scripture and he does a great job of always sharing the gospel. I read a comment about someone who didn't like talk of politics in church. One thing I appreciate about pastor Al is that he does not shy away of talking about abortion, and other current world issues. He does a great job of speaking the truth about what's going on in the world . If you're looking to grow in your faith and hear scripture based teachings, and enjoy fellowship with great people than it's a great church for you. Excellent church with wonderful, rich, reformed theology. I first attended a service here shortly after being stationed at Davis-Monthan. The church is very family friendly with a park/play area outside, and has several big families. The worship is very God centered and the church overall has a more casual, familial atmosphere. Once or twice a month Cornerstone has an after service meal/fellowship and once or twice a month there is a prayer breakfast on Fridays. Communion is administered every Sunday. This is a wonderful place if your primary concern is Biblical preaching, education, and God centered worship music. We are new to the area and looking for a new church. Our first impression was this might be the church for us. However, one sermon made it clear to us it was not. I do not believe politics belong in the church. Most political speech today is counter to what Christ taught. Love God and love your neighbor as yourself. All other commandments are based on these 2. If any teaching strays from these, beware. I am sure there are good people at this church, but we are moving on. This is my other home Church in Tucson, after being grafted in to the Vine in the summer of 2019, by being born from above through the Spirit of God. At that time, the LORD Jesus became no Longer the Stumbling Stone, but the Living Risen Saviour of my soul, who IS the Cornerstone, the ONLY foundation for this New Life in Him. Although currently, from March 2021-2022, this Artfest Show Host has been blessed immensely to be utilized as a part of planting Cornerstone's Sister Church in Coolidge/Casa Grande area, known as Redemption Bible Church (RBC). Cornerstone is where our RBC head Pastor, Greg Thornberg, will sometimes do guest teaching, as well as future Pastor in training, Jacob Thornberg, his son. This is true for the secondary RBC Pastor, who I can, with Much thanks to God, claim as my son, Pastor Joshua Franklin. In addition to Joshua Teaching at Cornerstone from time to time, he also is at times given opportunity to serve God as an infrequent Worship Music Leader, and his sisters and brothers and I sometimes have the Joy of Serving God with him. But Pastor Al is the human heart of Cornerstone Worship and Teaching, as Led by The Cornerstone Himself, with ALL Praise, Glory and Honour to our Great God and Saviour Jesus Messiah 🙏🙌☝️. For you see, Pastor Al has many Gifts from God, including a heart and mind with a clear understanding of the purpose and use of Apologetics, and Solid & Doctrinally Sound teaching that utilizes his speaking gifts, but is tempered with humbly desiring the Spirit of Truth to lead the listeners in the WORD of Truth. And God also mightily uses First Lady Angela & Pastor Al's Children to join him in leading the Worship Team, as God has gifted both them and he with beautiful, well-trained voices and other skills & gifts on instrumentation. This usually results in a high level of excellence in 🎵🎶 Music, with prayers & hopes that they help inspire Cornerstone attendees to Exult our Great Triune God, worshipping in spirit and in Truth, as our LORD calls us to in John 4:23-25 ❣️ There are many other behind the scenes workers, worship team members, and other servants, like Deacon Joe Goodale, who does the excellent sound and other aspects of keeping the Service running smoothly and ordered --just to focus on a few of those serving God at Cornerstone. The people are friendly and some of them will most assuredly reach out to you, when you visit. All are ❤️🩹 🤗 welcome who desire, to Worship, Fellowship or simply learn more about Yeshua Messiah--Jesus, the Christ (JesuCristo 💗), who is "the stone you builders have rejected, which has become the Cornerstone. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other Name under Heaven given to men by which we must be Saved." (Psalm 118:22/Acts 4:11-12) Very Family friendly and sweet,
