I have attended Renew for 2 years now and can honestly report that it's a great church. No church is perfect, and it took me a few months to feel truly connected to the community here. For anyone trying to break in, I recommend putting more effort into it than you may think is needed. Once you find your community here, it's excellent. The teaching is doctrinally sound and I trust the leadership. Renew Church is the best church in Orange County! It starts with the tremendous leadership of our church. Our pastors and elders instill an open and inviting environment that spills into the whole church. Renew is more than just fun, engaging, and biblically sound messages (which they are). It’s a tight knit family and a community that not only loves each other and pours into each other, but pours into our community and is about living out the truth of love and Jesus. I’ve been here for 5 years and it’s been the best decision to be invested in God’s community and for his community to invest in me as well. I have been a Christian growing up and so I've been to many churches. After attending Renew Church the past few months, I definitely feel that I've found my spiritual family at Renew church. I appreciate their church motto "for imperfect people only", and I feel that I have been able to be real and not have to put up an act to be accepted. The people there are very warm and welcoming and genuinely want to get to know one another. They also have an awesome children's ministry! All of the staff seem to really love the kids and love teaching the kids about God and having fun with them. When I asked about volunteering, there is an application and screening process that everyone has to go through so I know this children's ministry is legit. I also really enjoy that this church strives to be missional, multi-ethnic, and multi-generational. I love seeing people from different life stages and different walks of life worshipping God together and sharing life together. There are a lot of people I can learn from and have relationships with, both older and younger than me. I would definitely recommend checking out Renew Church, it's been a great community, the senior pastor is super cool and feels like just one of the guys, and I really enjoy the teachings of God's Word here. Oh and remember to park on the second floor of their parking structure. It's on top of a gym, so it might feel weird pulling in, but their second floor has banquet rooms where the church service is held. Been attending Renew Church OC for about 6-7 months now and purposely waited to write this review to be fair and offer an honest review. Since our first Sunday, Renew has been welcoming, friendly, and caring. All the Pastors and staff have big hearts and truly care about everyone that visits. There are so many different ministries from Youth, College, Young Adult, Young Families, Global Missions, and classes ranging for sexual addiction to divorce care for kids. There's also a sports ministry that includes basketball, volleyball, and pickleball. I'm sure i i didn't list all the ministries since i'm still very new but Renew has so much to offer. They've been very caring and supportive to me and my family. We just had a beach baptism at Huntington Beach where my Dtr was baptized and it was perfect. We also recently have this new partnership with Hope Intl Univ where Renew offers accredited college and seminary classes that are transferable to local colleges. How many other churches offer classes and for credit? Renew likes to share we're a church for imperfect people but nobody's perfect on this planet. Thank the Lord for Renew Church!! Blessings!! I've been going here since late January. I had some friends going there and they invited me. I've loved it since I started going, everyone is so genuine, welcoming, and loving. The church is constantly growing and it's amazing to see what God is doing through this church community within the local community and beyond. I'd recommend Renew to anyone looking for a new church.
