Worship was as good as Bethel. Wow. Teaching was solid. I'd make this my home church if I wasn't living overseas. They have an outstanding pastoral staff of Bible teachers, just excellent! The worship is good, although you may want ear protection as it's on the loud side but very passionate. The sanctuary is a bit dark, take your reading glasses. My wife and I first visited Southlands four years ago and are so thankful to have found this church and community. We love the gospel centered preaching, their willingness to listen to the Holy Spirit, and their multiplying culture of creating communities on mission all for the gospel. This is a church that truly loves their city and the people around them. If you live in the Brea area and are looking for a church, a family, or to learn more about Jesus. I highly recommend Southlands Church. I love this church. I've been to so many churches and never felt so connected like I do here. It's a great church family that balances it's size very well with small groups and many community events. The preaching is always biblically sound and easy to understand not to mention the worship is fantastic. I have been going to Southlands for over two years. When I first started coming, I had just moved from Studio City. I didn't know anyone in the area. I joined a lifegroup right away and met some amazing people who have become some of my best friends. I have been blessed to serve on the worship team and joined the church shortly after my first time coming. I love the focus on mission, prayer, biblical teaching, and worship. I encourage everyone to try it out and stick with it for a few weeks.
