First off, let it be said that any information about any certain incidents that have occurred in the past are now outdated; they no longer attend the church as far as I’m aware, and the community that is there is certainly welcoming. How do I know this? I’ve been attending BUMC since 2013-2014, back when I first lived in Brea; I’ve seen multiple pastors come and go throughout the years, changing per the Methodist conferences that transpire… each and every pastor I’ve met and spoken with allowed me to keep up the faith, of pursuing something better in life. That pursuit (besides happiness)? The search for a family… a community to lean on when you have nowhere else to go, a family to be a part of, express yourself when times are dark… a place of worship where one can get their start in career and their life. BUMC will always hold a special place in my heart for all of these things above, as they helped guide me through the pandemic, for providing a place of acceptance for the love of my life, for providing a place of service when I had no other sources of income. Now, as I move eastward towards new horizons, I can only hope that this church may evolve for the better, perhaps leave behind a legacy in music, in outreach, in spreading the word that God is indeed good. Brea United Methodist Church is a warm and welcoming congregation dedicated to sharing God’s love so that all lives may be enriched. The church fosters an inviting atmosphere where people can gather for worship, fellowship, and service. With a strong focus on inclusivity, compassion, and outreach, visitors will find a caring church family committed to faith, connection, and living out Christ’s message of love for all. You people are disgusting!!! This church will judge you, expect you to donate and will not hesitate to show you aggression! The church itself is poorly maintained and if i was you id look on another place to worship then given this place any of your time This is for the pumpkin patch that they operate on the lot. Giant bouncers, slides, foods, drinks, petting zoo and of course plenty of pumpkins! Great for the kids and great photo-ops. BTW they change to a Christmas Tree farm afterwards. Check it out 👍 Some of the nicest and most kind-hearted and generous people I have ever met were members of a congregation, the are however outliers and this church certainly contains one of them. I saw a member of this church physically assault a 1st amendment patriot for exercising his first amendment right. I think his behavior was unbecoming of the ideals preached in the church he attends. Shame on him
