My visit to Saint Edward the Confessor Catholic Church was truly uplifting. The Sunday Mass was celebrated in a sanctuary filled with a vibrant, engaged congregation that clearly forms the heart of this parish community. The church grounds are absolutely breathtaking, with carefully maintained gardens that complement the stunning ocean views. Standing in the courtyard after Mass, watching the Pacific shimmer in the distance, provided a moment of peaceful reflection that perfectly extended the spiritual experience. The Father's homily was thoughtfully crafted and delivered with genuine passion. He masterfully connected scripture to everyday life in a way that had the entire congregation truly reflecting on the message. You could tell he puts great effort into engaging with his parishioners, addressing real concerns while offering hope and guidance. The warmth of the community was evident in how parishioners greeted each other before and after the service. This is clearly not just a place of worship but a true spiritual family. Whether you're a longtime parishioner or just visiting Laguna, Saint Edward the Confessor offers both spiritual nourishment and natural beauty that feeds the soul. Highly recommended for anyone seeking connection to faith in a stunning setting. My favorite church hands down and of course I am biased. I had moved around OC and attended many churches from Tustin to Dana Point but this church stole my heart. I had been coming for more than 10 years at some point and it still is my preferred church to go to whenever I visit SoCal. It has ample parking, central location, great sermon, family mass, and beautiful backdrop for the cross … the cross just hangs so beautifully in the place of peace. I went to mass today by myself and felt very welcomed by the priest's sermon on gratitude. How wonderful to recommend living our life being grateful. I went to the pancake breakfast by the Knights of Columbus and sat alone. I was so grateful that Dan and Randy both came up and introduced themselves and spoke to me during my meal. I will be back again next week! We're so fortunate to have such wonderful clergy in this parish community. The sermons are excellent and there is much fellowship. We are back! Fr. Mike & the entire St. Edward team has brought back the vibrancy of our faith & parish by preaching the word so we can apply to our everyday lives. Masses are packed with young families & we continue to grow. Come join us. It’s amazing to be this close to God!
