This chuch hosts a food pantry every week, in drive through style. I attended their Second Friday of the Month Food Pantry and was surprised with how much produce in great condition and quality I received. It starts at 9 and I arrived at 8:30 and there was a long line already so something to keep in mind if you plan on attending. I was also able to get diapers for my baby. The staff is amazing and very kind, thank you Journey Community Church for all that you do for the community. Great worship, sermons, and people! Come get prayed for! Christmas Eve services: December 23 4pm & 6pm, December 24 2pm & 4pm! Regular services: Friday 6:30pm, Sunday 9am & 11am! Just moved to La Mesa from North County, where I had played at a few church's on worship. So, I was looking for a place with a friendly atmosphere, great message and powerful worship. After checking out a few others I decided on Journey Community for my new home church. They actually play their music with some decent volume, which I love😁🙏 and they just have a great campus with lots of opportunities to get involved. Very friendly people and I really liked the pastor's message.I love it! I went here on a Friday night for church service. The worship was upbeat and very enjoyable. Paul Hicok was teaching about the case for Easter. He was great. He is a natural at public speaking and engaging the audience. I really enjoyed this service. We've been attending Journey for 11 years and love everything about it. Every pastor greets and gets to know every member, new or old, on a first-name basis. Ed is the most amazing and genuine man we've ever known and his wife, Linda, is incredible too. There is always something going on there on campus, seven days a week. From small groups, to youth ministry, to holiday events, and the summer camp our middle daughter has attended four years running. I've given other churches a try that are closer or have services on other days and nothing compares to the feeling of home at Journey. There's zero politics in the sermons, no agendas, no "give us your money to be saved" vibe you get at other churches. The worship is the best anywhere, the message series are meticulously picked and planned, and even the guest pastors are a perfect fit. We'll never find another spot that can compare!
