My husband and I visited UCCC for the first time on September 8, 2024 and had a very good experience. Many people were warm and friendly towards us. The music was meaningful and the sermon was inspiring and uplifting. We hope to return again. I am a new member of this church after having attended off and on for the last 4 months. This is a small, extravagantly welcoming congregation which offers a variety of programs and activities along with weekly worship services for its members. The new pastor, Cindi Knox, is warm and genuine. Her very accessible and relevant sermons incorporate scripture, thoughtful interpretation and historical explanation along with humor and personal experiences. The physical space is beautiful, inviting and comfortable. As part of the United Church of Christ and Disciples of Christ, this is a non-doctrinal church which means all are welcome (seekers and believers) and all faith journeys are respected. I have been attending services here for 20 years. I always find it very welcoming and very supportive of my views with the LGBTQIA community, immigration, the homeless and all other social justices. This congregation is small but mighty in love for others. Enjoyed the sermon and especially the message of inclusion. All are truly welcome. Everyone is very inviting and warm.
