This has been my church home for 40 years now! We’re are committed to honoring our faithful God as we serve one another and our community. We’ve love hymns, old and new. And sadly, yes we have to post a tow away sign in our parking lot, just like most parking lots in America, to keep people from abandoning their old cars, garbage, and furniture on the property. My family almost didn’t visit this church because of one of the reviews on Google. Saying it wasn’t a loving church because they tow cars that are not supposed to be parked there. After searching for months for a church in Fairfield that has sound teaching and a loving community, we were referred to this church. I’m so thankful we came. Teaching is straight from the scriptures. Sunday school has started back up (since Covid). The people aren’t perfect… but that just means we fit in 😉. I’ve thought about the reviewer who is bitter about the parking. And I understand that Christians are held to a certain standard to love others (as they should)- but that doesn’t mean to just let people walk all over you. If you’re on the fence about visiting just go for it. I’m so thankful we did! A wonderful Christian community! My granddaughter became member of this church by her own choice when she was 9 years old and was trying to find a church that would lead her to God. yes . She was embraced by the church, and was baptized after a year and half. Pastor Nick, his wife Anne and Ms Amy Lefever have been wonderful to her and have nurtured her faith and spirit in so many ways. She is turning 13 in seven weeks and is active in the church youth group. I think it's really sad that you preach love and kindness while you threaten to tow a car that's parked in your parking lot because the apartments across the street have an unfortunate parking situation. I understand it's not your business and it's not your problem, but in the end do we practice what we preach? Do we lead by example or is it all smoke and mirrors? Are the several people who park in your lot really taking up THAT much space? What would Jesus do? Such disappointing actions taken by people who supposedly care about their community. Beautiful church service and very thoughtful sermon.
