With over 79,000,000+ views on my Google reviews as a Level 9 expert Google Reviewer, I always aim to give clear and honest feedback. Calvary Chapel by the Sea is such a beautiful church property. The grounds are very well manicured and everything feels peaceful and welcoming the moment you arrive. While visiting, everyone we encountered was friendly and kind which made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere felt warm, uplifting and inviting which is always wonderful to see in a church community. A lovely place to stop, reflect and enjoy a peaceful setting near the water. I'm late in writing this review until someone asked me how was church because they were genuinely curious about the mixed reviews. The truth is my experience was unsettling. The church felt a little cultish, strategic, and operated. On the surface they do what church do, gather together, pray, sing, woship read verses from the bible and call that a bible based church. But below the surface deeper something felt wrong about pastor Joe and even some of the other pastors and members there. I felt that pastor Joe spirit and heart didn't line up with what he teaches. And it felt and looked performative. I mean it just didn't feel or looked genuine. It's like you see a false teacher, you see a wolf, but everyone keeps saying that's a true teacher and that's a sheep, And I went home and prayed and prayed. Then I audibly hear loud and clear, IT'S A WOLF! I think many members are genuinely deceived, unaware of other members experience, but I also think some members or people are purposely part of the church gaslighting, manipulation, deception. Because Christians are supposed to have discernment but yet they don't appear to have discernment. It's like how can someone truly not have even the slightest feeling or senses that pastor Joe Pedick might be a wolf, seems like a wolf? But people have to make their own decision and use their own judgment. But my confident discernment is It's A Wolf. This is an amazing church to attend. You can feel God's presence through the pastors preaching on Sundays. They also have numerous activities and service almost every day of the week. If you are a millennial I recommend Friday nights. If you are a zellenial I recommend Thursday nights. The best thing about this church was the congregation. I made a lot of friends here and felt at home, but I was having an episode related to my mental illness and the church kicked me out and wouldn’t let me come back when I got stable. They didn’t offer me any services or any assistance to help me in my darkest time. I volunteered at this church and was very involved. I worked on myself and tried to go back and they still wouldn’t let me go back. Pastor Chad and Catherine, Pastor Joe’s wife, were very rude to me as well. I don’t recommend this church to anybody. I recommend 5f church in Los Angeles. I’ve church hopped most of my life and finally found a place to be planted at that is very heavily anointed. You will feel the power of God here, get Healed and Delivered from any oppression of the enemy. Miracles happen every time Apostle Kathryn Krick speaks. If you can’t make it in person, watch her online. Miracles will even happen through the screen. 1000’s of testimonies are proof. I’m one of them. My mental illnesses are healed. Check out 5f church! Great church nice location in Huntington Harbor. They put on a great free.professional play of the Christmas Carol every year! A must see for the holidays!
