What visitors say
This is a new church that has a vision to impact Irvine with the gospel of Jesus. They are a healthy and vibrant church with great servant leaders. Pastor Kim is a great pastor and spiritual leader. I’m glad I was able to visit during the early weeks of this ministry. Come and see what God is doing here. My son really enjoyed the children’s class. Genuine biblical teaching and pastoral heart I'm so grateful to have found City Light Baptist Church in Irvine. Pastor James Kim is truly remarkable - you can clearly see that the Holy Spirit is working through him in his ministry. He is someone who has genuinely heeded the call of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to preach and teach others here in Orange County about who the Lord Jesus is. What I find most refreshing about this church is the commitment to solid, biblical preaching and teaching of the Holy Scriptures. In a time when many churches focus on "hyping up" congregations with emotional speeches rather than sound doctrine, City Light Baptist Church stands apart with authentic, Christ-centered messages that truly feed your soul. On top of all that, the people are nice too! In fact, I would say they're the family away from home. If you're looking for a place where you can grow closer to the Lord through faithful biblical teaching and genuine pastoral care, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting City Light Baptist Church. This is a church where God's Word is honored and His people are shepherded well. Great church! Love this area, and the people!! What a blessing to worship in this church! The preaching is always inspiring and thought-provoking, with a focus on biblical teaching and practical application. Pastor James is genuine, compassionate and truly cares about the well-being of his flock. I highly recommend City Light Baptist Church to anyone looking for a spiritual home where they can grow in their faith, connect with others, and serve the Lord. City Light Baptist Church is a wonderful church to be at. Especially in Irvine, where it is in need of a SOUND DOCTRINE, Pastor James Kim does a great job organizing the church and spreading the GOOD NEWS. Salvation is through faith only, no amount of works can get save you from eternal damnation and Pastor James DOESN'T COMPROMISE on any doctrinal flaws. Not only that, this church seems to be deeply caring for each member, work in unity, and is motivated to grow in Christ. Highly recommend to those who are seeking deeply for the sound truth.
