I had such a meaningful and uplifting experience at OC Single for Christ. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and genuinely Christ-centered. What stood out the most to me was how friendly and open everyone was — it truly felt like a safe space to meet other believers who share similar values and life goals. The organizers were caring and intentional, making sure people felt included rather than awkward. The group attracts mature, sincere Christians who are looking for real connection, not superficial small talk. I left feeling encouraged, refreshed, and grateful to have discovered this community. Highly recommend it to anyone in Orange County who wants fellowship, growth, and the chance to build Christ-honoring relationships. The only church anywhere just for Singles! They believe in all the fundamental doctrines of the evangelical Protestant church. For example, they believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, from the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible Word of God. This is most definitely a senior citizen singles get together. OTOH it is so not a place for the spiritually mature The Bible study is appropriate for a 1rst grade Sunday school. The median age is 65-75. You will probably run out of there if you don't fall in this category. If you're looking to meet someone of the opposite sex, and you are not in this age range, I'll save you some time, you will not feel comfortable here Something that was really egregious to me was the begging for $. My pastor NEVER asks for $, he says "If God guides God provides" OCSFC will spend an inordinate amount of time on instructing you to give (so cringe for a first time visitor) which made me write them off right off the bat They are at best a source of entertainment on Friday night for the over 65 crowd, it is FR not a church. It is similar to an activities event at a skilled nursing facility. Look no further if that's what you are after After the "message" was karaoke. 99% of the participants were completely off key, singing their hearts out The "performances" were so laughable, yet no one was laughing. Maybe they were great vocalists, but the sound system was against them ? That is the one positive thing I can say about this organization, that no one was mocking them, which is a plus as far as I'm concerned Anyways, if a deep spiritual message or meaningful fellowship with seasoned believers does not matter to you, if you don't mind the leadership pleading with you to part with your $, and you are extremely elderly and single this may be the perfect place for you It is way better than public clubs. The pastor keeps it God centered. The people are great. OC Singles pros-cons pros 1. Nice friendly people, safe environment, ping pong, karaoke, low cost dinner, big on dancing events. Friday nights are free to attend. Teaching and worship music are adequate. Cons 2. Older crowd, 55plus, hardly any young folks, OC Singles would like to be a church, but it more a place to meet for fellowship and hangout. People come for the fellowship and to meet new people, almost everyone attends church elsewhere. It’s one of the very few single Christian weekly gatherings in Orange County.
