Love! this oldest, progressive & only LGBTQ affirming La Jolla church. The relevant sermans by Harvard trained Pastor Tim speak beautifully about our common humanity on this precious planet. Members of all religious backgrounds feel welcome & uplifted at this gorgeous church. There is great musical talent from the Director to the small Choir. A perfect Sunday, with the nearby Farmer's Market, & ocean activities. I attended last week. A very close-minded church that is more focused on political signaling than on Jesus. Sad. If you don't agree with their beliefs, you will feel unsafe and uncomfortable. Really not a welcoming church A very close-minded church and pastor. Non-welcoming. If you support traditional beliefs and want to hear about God, not their political beliefs, stay away. Way too much political signaling, inside and outside the church. I felt horrible here. I felt so welcomed in this 100 year old church, where you get to know the people. After church they have coffee, pastries and fruit in this lovely sunny room with the big french doors opening up to the patio. The minister Sam gives sermons that gives lots of food for thought. They truly embrace being open and affirming to all people. I finally, after going to churches in different countries, feel like coming truly home in this church. Thank you! We have attended this church when visiting from Canada on many occasions. We deeply appreciated Sam's ministry and wish him well in the future
