Look, I've tried to find a reason not to love this church. I've got nothing. Pastor Mingo is the kind of pastor who makes you forget you're sitting in a chair. Every. Single. Sunday. Enlightening, funny, edge-of-your-seat stuff, the man does not miss. Maya's worship? Banger after banger. I don't know how she keeps topping herself but here we are. The worship is fire Sunday after Sunday, come and see for yourself! I don't even have young kids and I was genuinely jealous today. 500 children. 8,000 Easter eggs. Multiple jumping castles. I'm a grown adult and I seriously considered getting in line. The location is La Jolla. As in, arguably the most beautiful place on the planet. As in, you're sitting there thinking about God with the Pacific Ocean basically just off in the distance. And then — THEN — they hand you a pour-over coffee. For free. Just because. Five stars isn't enough. My wife and I have attended this church for many years, and it truly feels like home. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and open to believers, seekers, and skeptics alike. There are both modern and traditional services with the same Bible-based message. The pastors are engaging, practical, and thoughtful. The campus is beautiful, parking is easy, the kids’ program is excellent, and there are great opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth. Such an amazing atmosphere to worship and friendly people who feels like a family. Wonderful family environment with caring and safe kids ministry. Nice to see so many young adults and you families. A wonderful, warm and welcoming church. Every week brings multiple blessings- from the strengthening message from Pastor Tim (always bible based), to the gracious members who are always welcoming and the presence of the Lord that surrounds us all! Great place to feel welcome love the vibes we are always doing community events and inviting everyone to find and follow Jesus
