What visitors say

Very wonderful to participate in community prayers as well as received healing and can share wellbeing by helping others in what you can(examples:praying for others, also listening, learning then sharing what was learned.) I drive an hour every Sunday to participate in the various formation opportunities offered by Fr Broom and his faithful parish leaders at St Peter Chanel. They are very organized. I have learned so much through the 10 week Ignatian Spiritual Exercise course and now Acts of the Apostles. Even my 10 year old loves Fr Brooms teachings! This parish is alive!! I pray for the priests here and parish leaders and all of us attending the workshops and am grateful they help us on our quest for holiness and our path towards heaven. I’m inspired to bring workshops and teachings to my parish as well through the Grace of God. Empty me. Fill me. Use me Lord. one of the best churches I have ever known, there is always a service and all week there is mass in English and Spanish and the fathers have a schedule where you can go to confession. Everything is very good with this church. I really recommend it a lot. Apart from that, it is very beautiful and feels a wonderful peace. One of may favorite parishes. Amazing humble dedicated priest. There is daily mass, and daily adoration. There are spiritual exercises online, and everyday sermons. When I was a child this was one of my favorite churches. One of the few churches that only accept donations, and does not charge for any sacraments. Although the church building itself is modern, such as the architecture, but the the parish still holds the Catholic faith. The Catholic faith which is based off both scripture, and tradition. We came to this church hoping for guidance and support as we prepare for marriage, but unfortunately our experience has been disappointing and unnecessarily difficult. Despite being practicing Catholics, we were made to feel almost denied service simply because we do not regularly attend this specific parish. We were asked to provide a copy of a past civil marriage license, which has no relevance to our sacramental marriage in the Church. Additionally, my fiancé was asked to submit another copy of his baptism papers, even though these were already provided and previously accepted—only to later be told they are now “not valid,” with no clear explanation. The most troubling part of this experience was the lack of compassion and respect. When I expressed concern about why it was being made so difficult for my fiancé to complete his final two sacraments, a woman named Ana responded rudely by saying, “That’s why you should’ve gotten it done when you were younger.” This comment felt dismissive, judgmental, and completely unpastoral. We expected understanding, patience, and guidance from a church that preaches love and support—especially for couples seeking to receive the sacraments properly. Instead, we were met with obstacles, poor communication, and disrespect. I truly hope this church reflects on how it treats couples who are sincerely trying to grow in their faith and receive the sacraments, regardless of their past or parish history.
