I’ve been attending Eagle Rock Baptist Church (ERBC) since 1993, when they planted a church in their building, and it has truly been my church home ever since. Pastor Rick, Andrew, Seth, James, Raquel, and Judy are all incredible people who genuinely care about others. From the moment you walk through the doors, they make you feel welcomed, valued, and like you’re part of a family. ERBC also has a wonderful children’s ministry and youth ministry, along with small groups that make it easy to build meaningful relationships and grow in your faith. If you’re looking for a church where you’ll find biblical teaching, authentic community, and people who truly love and serve others, I highly recommend ERBC. It’s been a blessing to my life for many years, and I’m grateful to call it my church family. I was on a mission to find a church for community to help build a better relationship with God, and that is exactly what I found here. I first was able to try the Sunday sermons by livestream, and I absolutely loved how their lessons are focused on the Word and how their staff are knowledgeable on context and history. And then I went in for my first Sunday service, and the community immediately welcomed me with open arms. The people here are so kind and friendly, and they encouraged me to participate in everything from feeding the homeless to women bible study. I really wish I could have stayed in the area for this church alone because I know it will be hard to find a community like this one. More people, More like Jesus. 5 years ago, in the darkness of COVID, God led us to this little church. We were searching for a Bible-based community where we could hear God’s Word and where our children could put down roots. We live in days where “due to the increase of wickedness, our hearts have grown cold.” It’s all too easy to align ourselves with churches that fit our preferences or political views. (I confess this sin right here!) But this is not that kind of church. ERBC is Jesus-focused. Only in the presence of Jesus can our stone hearts truly melt—and here, our hearts melted. Pastor Rick is a gifted speaker with a sense of humor that appeals to everyone—think dry, British-style humor—while Pastor Andrew takes us deep into the Bible with thoughtful, challenging teaching. We love them both, and we are so grateful for all the servants here at ERBC. In just five years, reading and hearing God’s Word has transformed us—and continues to transform us every single day. If you are looking for validation of who you voted for, this is not the place. But if you want Jesus—more of Jesus—this is exactly where you need to be. This church is home to a diverse community of welcoming individuals. I feel the makeup of the church reflects the makeup of the city. They are welcoming to families, and my two elementary-school aged kids have enjoyed going to Sunday school and have made friends. Eagle Rock Baptist Church has been a second home for me. I’ve been in attendance at this church for now going on 7 years. From the first day up until now I’ve grown spiritually-through life group, mental-through understanding the word, intellectually-through the importance of community, and financially-through understanding how money works when God’s word is applied. I’m alway eager to return to church on Sunday’s & Wednesday’s to learn more about the word with like minded people. Though I’ve become like family to many of the members at ERBC. I can’t help, but to think about how difficult life would be without a covering of Christ while doing life. I believe that we the people are the church, and God is within us. From the first time I attended ERBC I was able to see that same model duplicated throughout all the members, pastors and other individuals attending sermons. ERBC has made coming to the house of the Lord a safe and friendly environment for families to grow together in Christ while striving to be exceptional at loving people. If you have a family & your interests in growing not only a community, but knowledge and understanding of the word with your children & God ERBC Is most definitely the place for you!
