On June 28, I attended the second service at Lord's Glory Church (pastored by Rev. Shin Seung-hoon), located near downtown Los Angeles. After the service, the entire congregation went outside and lined up to have a bowl of *gukbap* (rice in soup) for one dollar. Although the chef announced that they had run out of rice and would serve noodles instead, the cashier took it upon herself to hand me a bowl of *gukbap* anyway. Even though the person was a cashier, she took it upon herself—without any authorization—to go to the table and hand me the *gukbap* (soup and rice) directly, preventing me from even picking it up myself. Handling cash and then touching the food I was about to eat with those dirty hands is a clear violation. Please be careful. Our vision is to be a community of disciples who gives glory to God by being filled with the Spirit through the Word and prayer. See a video on YouTube of guy filming on the side walk and a church member and the security guard followed this guy around it out on the public sidewalk and then the guard and the "ceo" as labeled on his phone, thought it should say pastor but ok, Put hands on the guy and the guard got pepper sprayed out on the public sidewalk. Keep your hands to yourself. I don't agree with everything the auditor was saying but the same amendment that gives him the right to film is public is the same one that gives us our right to our religion. Great place, great people and community. Attended a few events and it definitely feels like one of those production mega churches that's really about making money. Just look at how they treat the homeless and how they make the surrounding area so hostile to outsiders. On top of that, they regularly host far right organizations and speakers. I would stay away from this church that involves so heavily in far right media and big production church services instead of centering on God and empathy for all.
