San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church is a smaller church located in East LA! It has a nice atmosphere and is inclusive! Enjoyed the beautiful sculptures and their service. Gracias por todo! Que dios me los bendiga! Amén! It is such of blessing for our community of Boyle Heights to have this beautiful humble church, for several generations. Serving with reverence and respect to all parishioners. All of my events from my wedding, the baptism of my children and funeral mass for my dear father sister and brothers had all been done in accordance to our traditional Catholic faith. I went to school when it was one I grad 1984 and now i go church is small but humble and spiritual Worst of the worst Catholic Church. If I can give it no stars will have rated ZERO stars. It’s impossible to be the godparents if you aren’t married through a Catholic Church. Never ever will we baptized there again. Back when I can recall, my dear mother had to work two jobs to make sure we,(sister & I)went to the best school’s & were taught properly, In the beginning everything seemed to be going well, but throughout time what seemed to be a normal timeout punishment , for not finishing our lunch meals turned into abuse by these so called,, “Godly Nun’s.” I thought I was the only one being abused & tortured, but one day when I was taken out of class to the directory’s office, as many other times, I noticed my sister laying on the floor and gagged to the mouth sobbing in tears. My sister and I were physically and emotionally abused for more than a year, We were threatened to never say a word to anyone and till this day my sister and I have kept silent. I have forgiven these evil women, I just hope they repent for their sins and may our Father God forgive them.
