I grew up in this church and my grandparents were pratictioners and donors. I’ve done all their rituals and speak from the heart. There are many alternatives for your children than forcing them to attend church, such as yoga, music groups, martial arts etc. Not allowing your children to develop their own spiritual beliefs and practice is one of the worst ways to nuture them into independent thinking adults. Many practitioners in the church from what I remember have good hearts. It’s also not what it used to be from when I was a kid in the 2000s. The beliefs here are archaic and the church has started to intertwine right wing politics into it’s practice, which is against the teachings of the global Catholic Church and the spiritual teachings of Christ, who only loved everyone, regardless of how they looked or what their beliefs were. I encourage all community members to be open to different beliefs and develop their won spiritual practices instead of relying on dogma. Loved this church in Blood In Blood Out! It’s great family drama, streaming on Disney+ Love this church. The echo sometimes makes it difficult to hear. When I sit closer to the front, I hear much better. I’m deeply disappointed with my experience at this church. During the sermon, they expressed homophobic views, which made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome. What’s worse, before that, when I asked for the sacrament of anointing for my dying mother, they refused to administer it. These actions were hurtful and completely went against what I believe the church should stand for. It’s hard to have any respect for a place that behaves this way. I haven't returned since my mom's death years ago and I don't plan to ever again. My favorite place of worship 😊🙏, , feel very welcomed by the volunteers and the priests. I feel like this is my family, This church has gone under an immense facelift. I can't believe all the restoration that has been done. It is more beautiful!
