I visited the Church of the Nativity in Menlo Park on New Year’s Day (January 1, 2026), and overall, it was a peaceful and meaningful experience. The church itself is small but very pleasant. I especially appreciated the charming garden at the entrance, adorned with flowers that add a welcoming and calming touch. The church’s old-style design gives it a sense of history and quiet reverence that feels grounding the moment you walk in. During this Mass, there was no choir, which surprised me since it was the first day of the new year. I assumed the choir members might have been on holiday, though it felt like a special occasion that could have been celebrated more grandly with music. Still, the Mass itself was reflective and sincere. One feature I truly appreciated was the electronic tap payment option for lighting candles. This is incredibly thoughtful and convenient, especially for those who no longer carry cash. The atmosphere after Mass felt quieter than usual. On my previous visit, there was a warm gathering with shared food, which helped foster community. This time, there was no gathering, and the church felt a bit subdued. It would be wonderful to see more volunteers helping with post-Mass collections and community engagement. Despite these small observations, the church remains a beautiful, prayerful place that offers peace and reflection—an uplifting way to begin the new year. Lovely church with beautiful trees in the surrounding courtyard. The rows have cute little doors that you open to enter into the pew. Joined a new friend here for the Mass. A very nice church. It’s so clean and neat every corner. The architecture is also great. I like the atmosphere there. And the St. Patrick’s Seminary is close. This area is very quiet and upscale. Adoration being available there was a true blessing. The Traditional Catholic Church (Altar rails, etc) and the surrounding walkable areas are all simply timeless and beautiful! I would love to visit from out of town again. This is the 3rd wedding I've photographed at Church of the Nativity and it's a lovely Church! Beautiful inside and out. It's reverent, classic, and beautiful....full of Gods gifts!
