Not Living by What They Preach. It’s heartbreaking to see people from a church — a place that should represent compassion and kindness — repeatedly throwing away and even stealing food meant for the community cats. It happened yet again today 11/02/2025 on Holy Sunday: two small containers of dry food and one container of water were thrown out before the cats could even reach them. Thankfully, we have multiple volunteers and check daily and spotted it right away. Later that evening, one volunteer returned to leave a bowl of water and a small amount of food, only for two men from the church — wearing green t-shirts — to rush toward the feeding area as soon as she was leaving. A woman in a red dress was also seen nearby, waving her hands pointing her finger and expressing visible anger toward the volunteers for simply leaving a clean water and small amount of dry food near the wall behind the tree. This is unacceptable behavior, especially in front of church members’ children who were playing on the nearby basketball court and witnessed the entire scene. (around 5:30PM) This isn’t an isolated event — it’s an ongoing pattern. We’ve spoken to the pastor before. Volunteers refill the feeding stations, only to find the containers taken again and again. The pastor and his wife even promised to replace the two water containers that had been previously thrown away, but that promise was never kept. It’s disheartening to see people who claim to serve God act without honesty or compassion. They are not living by what they preach. These cats are part of the registered colony that is being managed by Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program — they’re fixed, vaccinated, monitored, and responsibly fed. The program is fully supported by our county and helps prevent more kittens from being born. Volunteers use their own time and money to keep these cats healthy and the area clean. Instead of respecting that effort, some individuals have chosen to show cruelty by interfering with their care. It’s deeply disappointing to see this behavior coming from these brand new tenants a church community. Kindness costs nothing — if you can’t help, please at least don’t destroy the work of those who are trying to make a positive difference. Please be kind to our community cats. 🙏 As Scripture reminds us, “God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds… and God saw that it was good” (Genesis 1:25). All living creatures are part of His creation, and every life — big or small — matters in His eyes. “Whoever is kind to the needy honors God.” — Proverbs 14:31 “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.” — Proverbs 3:27 This Church family has blessed my husband and I! We were beyond excited to get married around our family and friends in the beautiful location on Carver. And now we are so happy to be able to see and attend the new location God has provided! Awesome Bible teaching church that offers various Bible Study groups through the week, children’s programs and Sunday school. Sundays include wonderful worship music and Bible teaching straight from the Bible! Come join us at our new location and check out our new facility that has room for everyone! A wonderful church with such a welcoming and loving community. The preaching is firmly rooted in the Bible and shared with clarity and truth. I’m so grateful to be part of this church and can’t wait to celebrate my wedding here! Christ Community Church as been my church for the past 5 years. Pastor Darell is a wonderful pastor who reads write out of God's word not changing a single thing.The service starts at 10 am on Sunday mornings and coffee and doughnuts are provided! This church is not just for the elderly... But rather anyone, young or old who wants to come worship the our Lord Jesus!!!!!
