I love my church! The preaching is powerful, always Bible-centered, and easy to apply in everyday life. The worship is uplifting and full of heart, and the kids’ ministry is amazing—including a dedicated classroom for children with special needs, which makes me feel completely at ease leaving my little ones. It’s a place where families are welcomed, community is built, and spiritual growth is encouraged. I’m so grateful to be part of it! Too many mean ppl here... a heads up, this church is not Mental Illness friendly but if you decide to visit with your loved one with a mental illness they are asking you to kindly disclose it to them prior to your visit( which is a highly protected right btw), i guess its easier for them to keep an eye on you, instead of praying for you to get healed. Pastor praises himself in fasting,prayer & continually pats himself in the back with how close he is with God. Well, what about us who've been praying for our loved ones for years & when they walk into a church for help & santuary, you become upset bc they dont act the way you want them too; you realize how hard it is to go out into this mean world to deal with ppl staring & commenting, then i go in church & theyre even worser that the world out there? Pastor & Grace church: just shut up & listen for once, i dont need your apologies or your explanations, just deal with the truth im giving you & remmember church is for healing & thats what i went for, but i guess it wasnt there, maybe Pastor was too distracted with cracking jokes than to see a broken person coming in from shelter of the world. You can start by getting your bodyguards trained in supporting loved ones with mental illness instead of you screaming at them from the podium, because im not the only one out here, theres alot of us. Also Pator, just letting you know my loved one would never hurt anyone in any way specially at your church because he loves you guys, he always has & hes the one who asked me to take him; he may not understand his illness but hes always had heart & love for ppl & you specially, he would always talk good about you & your family, youve met us before many times & your wife has prayed about him too specifically about his mental illness, his mind may not let him see the mean/cruel side of ppl but i do, & thats why i advocate for him in everyway. And dont say you didnt know us or about my loved ones illness bc we have been connected at your church including: Mental Health Coach/Pastoral Counceling from your church with an amazing woman of God, XO Conference, Small Group, Honey Huddles(which i also volunteered & helped with & spoke about my loved one) & i would continually go up for prayer at service & my prayer was always the same, prayer for my loved one with mental illness; so how much more do you want from me bc i did do my part, & many active/volunteer Godly men & women at your church knew my loved one & myself by name. NAMI is available to support anyone whos dealing with the same rejection & hurt from the world & churches like this one; ppl will never understand the pain we go through everyday. I cant deal with stuff like this anymore, dont worry Grace i wont return, i know you dont accept us, i know we're a bother to you & i know we dont fit in or that i cant see the future & anticipate what my loved one does every single minute of the day but i know he wouldnt hurt anyone, in any way. But i can rest assure, God sees what happens in your church, He knows the whole truth, He knows my prayers & He accepts us because i know for fact that Hes close to the sick & the broken, so Goodbye forever & God deal with you in His own way. PS: try alittle Grace, kindness & empathy, im pretty sure thats what Jesus would do. For the multiple people calling Grace Church homophobic you need a reality check. The world and prosperity gospel that sinners love has you comfortable in your sins. God forbid a Pastor who ACTUALLY teaches the WORD of CHRIST and preaches repentance. News flash the Bible says homosexuality is a SIN. You will not inherit the Kingdom of God. That's God WORD period point blank. You can't twist the scriptures to fit your lifestyle. You need to change your lifestyle to fit the scriptures. You shouldn't feel offended you should feel convicted. If you're not convicted it's because your heart truly isn't with God. If you're looking for a Church that preaches the Word of God I encourage you to checkout a service. If you're looking for a prosperity gospel Pastor who will keep you comfortable in your sins, never tell you the truth about the Word, and repentance then Grace Church isn't for you. Great church that is very "Bible Based" point by point. They have a great kids ministry, small groups, and are friendly. It's always a little awkward walking into a church you don't know but we've met great people and are glad we stuck around. I highly recommend attending their "meet the pastors" to get a feel for the church and it's goals in the community. We came two weeks ago and we enjoyed ourselves. The kids went into the kids club and they enjoyed themselves. I was able to enter the sanctuary and the worship music was great and the sermon by the pastor was really good! Definitely recommend this Church if you are visiting or new to the area . We will be back soon !
