What visitors say
Faithful, God-fearing, Gospel-minded church. I’ve been attending this church since May 2022, and it has been a tremendous blessing. The elders are well-equipped and faithful in their role of shepherding the church. The congregation is faithful and united with the same goal in mind: to know Jesus and make Him known. If you’re in the Oceanside area, I encourage you to come and join us for a service. Pillar Church of Oceanside is a really great group of Christian worshipers in the Valley in Northeast Oceanside. Saturday service is presently held in an older church building on Stallion Road off North River Road. The church building is shared with a smaller but separate church group. For over ten years Pillar Church services used to be held in the spacious multi-purpose room at nearby Del Rio Elementary School next to Melba Bishop Park. The main two pastors are Marine and Air Force veterans who are also talented musicians. A third pastor is an active-duty Naval chaplain. The pastors rotate and focus on various religious themes throughout the year and reference verses from the New and Old Testaments. All references to scripture are clearly visible on the overhead screen. During my two years there, politics was never included in their sermons. They DO NOT try to sway members to think or vote a certain way. Their focus is for everyone “to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known.” All of the congregants are active duty military personnel, retired military, veterans, and their families. However, everyone in the community is welcomed. Pillar Church also provides Bible study and various support groups with lots of food and uplifting spiritual songs and prayer. Finally, Pillar Church has a growing number of churches next to military bases throughout the country and a few around the world. Everyone is welcomed. I attend service at Pillar Church of Oceanside from January 2018 to June 2020. Prior to this I attended church at Pillar Church in Dumfries, VA and Pillar Church in Jacksonville, NC. I have never felt more at home than I have at a Pillar Church. I recently returned for a weekend after moving out of town and felt like I was right back with my family. I love this church and cannot express how much they have helped me to grow in my walk with Christ. Visited while on vacation, great community, service, and worship. Love the service and message
