Pastor Rick preaches directly from The Bible with wisdom, discernment and profound insight. He has an extensive knowledge of The Bible and it's just amazing to experience his sermons every Sunday. I love the community and fellowship here at OCCC, and it is a blessing to attend a solid, biblically sound church. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, it truly feels like a family here. If you are looking for a church that has a firm foundation in The Bible, valuable sermons weekly, a warm community, great worship and fun ministries to be a part of - this is the church for you! Eleven years ago Rickie and I walked into this church, listened to the message from Pastor Rick and on the way home we looked at each other and said, "Is this guy for real?" We have never stopped attending. We love the honest, truthful teaching and we love the people. This is a family who truly care about one another. We laugh together, we cry together and we rejoice together. We have been so blessed to find this wonderful family of God. Not sure about this place the pastor of the church the top dog was always smiling and nice and actually speaks with the members where alot of pastors act like they are superior, alot of the members are nice but the second pastor at first seemed nice he claimed to have martial arts training and is a black belt, I myself am a practicing martial artist since 1981 having earned two 2nd degree black belts one is in kung fu which I have been practicing for 15 years. Just all if a sudden not the top pastor but the second level guy started telling me how he us going to hurt people, I was taken back I have served kn the military and got injured and have seen slit bad things and because of it I suffer severe anxiety disorder and him telling me something like that can cause my moods to sway either with extreme anger and aggression or depression, I tried talking and saying a Christian and a martial artist dont talk ir act like that his reply you asked I answered and it is what it is. Im not sure I want to go back I have seen too much hurt and violence. I will pray but not sure. Honestly that was a beyond stupid thing for a pastor to say. Great community church in Orange County. Everyone is welcome and Pastor Rick preaches right from the Bible. This church has around 100 members, many of them long-standing members that have attended with their families for over 20 years. Everyone knows each other and treats each other like family. If you're looking for a Bible based, small/friendly church that feels like a family but still has access to community events, Bible studies and more, OCCC is the place to be!
