We received a warm invitation from Brother Roland and Sister Pam, and from the moment we walked into VCC, we felt completely welcomed. The environment was peaceful, with beautiful prayers and scripture readings, and even a bit of laughter to keep things light. My 20-year-old son loved the Narnia-themed treasure hunt, and we both had so much fun. Not only was the service inspiring, but we even got to share a wonderful meal. VCC truly feels like a family, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it. I previously attended for 5 years. The people are very nice and desire to serve and care for others. Even their disability ministry is a blessing. I even developed some friendships there and served in the sound booth for at least a year. The reason why I have to give three stars however is because I disagree with them theologically due to the emphasis on spiritual formation (a practice that I do not affirm as biblical). That was part of the basis of my departure. Despite my dissention from their theological stance, I still love them and value them as my friends and pray for them every day. We went to this church for 3 years before moving to a different state. Such a wonderful community that preaches the gospel, teaches, and equips believers! Feels like home! Amazing pastors and beautiful music! Ash Wednesday service was so fun & family oriented. I can't explain how much I felt like I was with my own Christian family "the body of Christ" We started checking out Valley Community Church almost a year and half ago, and we’ve found more than just a place of worship – it's family. Located in the heart of Pleasanton you’ll be hard pressed to find a more faithful and welcoming community. From the uplifting and thought provoking Sunday worship services to youth activities and child care VCC has really just left us feeling so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community. We joined a Com Group and found a group of people looking to live life together as we walk in faith. What really brought us in was the disability ministry for our special needs child which spoke volumes to us. Their focus on apprenticeship is genuine, and their dedication to the community is evident.
