What visitors say

What beauty! Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church is located in Claremont, just north of the 10 freeway with nearest cross steeets on Indian Hill Blvd and Bonita Ave. It was easy to find but parking was on the street along Berkeley Ave. I came here for a benefit concert with 3 well-known composers so it wasn’t for a Mass or service; however, it may have well been because the music was so beautiful. A simple layout with modern-style wooden pews and a large cross at the center of the church. I truly enjoyed visiting this parish. I'm not from this parish but when I visit I always feel spiritually uplifted at Mass. Sermons are engaging, not to much layman involvement, going up and down the alter, which has always distracted me from focusing on the mass at my parish. Beautiful I attended S First Holy Communion and mass for my Niece. Came with friends to attend the Fiesta fundraiser. Enjoyed food, pizza, Korean chicken kabob fish tacos delicious ice cream and churros. That the way to support a fundraiser! Enjoyed live music and participated in 50/50 Great afternoon! I was shocked at the lack of sacredness at the 9AM Liturgy. Greet your neighbor, rock band, projectors, etc. The priest must make an effort to return Latin, organ, and chant to the Mass…as Sacrosanctum Concilium intended. This Mass was embarrassing to inquiring Catholics.
