Renewed Life Church is our family’s recharging station. We rebuild our souls weekly, as we forge through life’s up and downs. We are constantly surrounded with people that love and support us. Been here for 15 yrs and plan on being here for the next 15. This is my home church. After years of attending large mega-churches in San Diego, it is wonderful to be a part of a tight community of Christians serving each other and the community. This warm, welcoming congregation is free of the politics and cliques we saw at larger churches. Our pastor and staff keep us focused on the Bible and its application - not on side issues and popular, experiential-based distractions. There's a strong small group ministry, and it's easy to get plugged into even more intimate fellowship. There's a lot of history here, and you'll be warmly welcomed into it! We’ve been attending OBCF since December 2020. Olive Branch Christian Fellowship is a wonderful, multigenerational community of Jesus loving Christians really living out Jesus’ teachings. We love being part of a home group at this church where we can practice showing Jesus’ love to other families in our lives and have really grown and benefited from all of the relationships we’ve developed at this church. I would recommend this church to anyone looking for a church of Christians looking to live real lives with each other, to be fully known and still fully loved, just as Jesus loves us. We've been at Olive Branch since the start of 2021. It was a breath of fresh air after attending a giant, monolithic church in RB prior. My family and I noticed immediately that the members of this sweet church deeply care about God and about others. Watching folks during the "greet each other" moments, I saw genuine interactions, smiles, tears and hugs, laughter---all from folks who span ages 14 to 94. I have my guard up when exploring new churches or ministries, watching for bad teaching and theology or disingenuous people who just want to love-bomb you into staying in their fold. Well, we're still here and happy because none of that exists at Olive Branch. The recently-retired Pastor Scott taught his congregation to love well, even and especially in spite of differences of opinion/walks of life/stages of life; and the recently initiated Pastors Trevor and Danny teach the Bible faithfully and completely, in context (verse-by-verse), applying it to life only as far as can be done without adding one's own opinions. The multigenerational nature of the church has only grown, but to date, the Sunday gathering is still small enough for people who remember each other and engage with one another. Plus, during the week, our home groups are another touch point for care and doing life together. My own home group has widows/widowers, young families, and everything in between. We discuss Christian teaching, challenge each other, edify each other, and grow in Christ together. Last word: this church puts hands and treasure to service. Funds from congregational giving are dispatched as needs arise in the community far and wide, from partnering with other local ministries, to serving lunch and notes of encouragement to the staff of the school where we gather, to fulfilling tangible needs for Ukrainian churches and rescue/ministry efforts during the current crisis (buying a sprinter van, funding the building of shower stalls for refugees staying on-site, etc.). We'd love for you to join us, and if what I've described doesn't hold up, you should find a church that honors God this way; but first, find a pastor, elder, or home group leader, and give them your honest feedback.
