What visitors say

We attended this church for a couple of years but unfortunately never felt welcomed. The environment feels very cliquey, with established groups that don’t make much effort to include others. What ultimately led us to leave was a personal experience involving a church member who reached out for help. I contacted the church regarding the situation and never received a response. Being completely ignored in a moment like that was extremely disappointing and not what we expected from a church community. There are many other churches in the area that are far more welcoming and compassionate. An excellent church. Been going here about 6.5 years now and we are getting ready for a move of God in the church. You can feel it building. Home Sweet Home, The leadership and Rock family are people that have changed my life, not with their words but actions and move of love. This church was led for so many years by Pastor Francis Anfuso and he was and always will be the greatest pastor I've had the pleasure of knowing. His humble heart for Jesus and obedience has been an example and baseline for living a supernatural life. The church is now led by an extraordinary and warm pastor Brandon Naramore and his awesome wife Rachel. They have been loyal servants to the church and the community for a very long time. Few people are as pure and devoted than those two. Pastor Mark Tawlks and Bob Hasty are two remarkable men who are a shining example of what being on mission, and living an authentic life. Both have amazing passion and unique personalities that make them incredibly important to the foundation of the church. They truly live it out, and the people we do life with at this church have forever changed the trajectory of my families life in many ways. If you want less religion, less bondage, condemnation, then the Rock can be that for you. More importantly if you want to be set free, encounter the holy spirit in worship, live a life you deserve, and do life with a community of Givers then then the Rock of Roseville is a great place to call home. The childrens ministry if also fantastic led by Julie who is an amazing leader a challenging job and big responsibility. If you ever want to visit and want to know someone there when you go, then drop me a message I'd be happy to meet you at the front door with a smile or hug. God bless, Adrian Boysel The Rock is a great place for worship, and a break from the worlds insanities. Everyone I've met is super courteous and helpful. And, they make a decent cup of Joe. Grateful a place like this exists. I am reviewing Rock of Roseville to help others consider if this is the right place for them to worship. I have not gone recently, but went when their previous pastor, Francis Anfuso, was there. Francis was charismatic and intelligent. He had many programs, like Pizza with the Pastor. He used different media, and sold copies of his messages. After attending for a year, I noticed he recycled his messages. He told some unusual stories, like that he had been demon possessed in Hawaii. He reminded me of Benny Hinn, and it seemed like Francis supported people who were part of the prosperity gospel. One for the money: I remember Francis complaining to the congregation about not receiving enough money in the offerings, and how he had deserved more. This seemed confusing to me, as well as when he would say that we should not set boundaries of what God has for our lives, but then in another message, he would say that there were things that were not God's will for "his life." He favored and taught tithing for the church. I felt guilted to tithe. I think the high contributors were given better attention. Two for the show: I remember the Sunday morning presentations were compelling. I so wanted to believe this was where I needed to be among other Christians. Over time, it seemed like the presentations were only on the surface. They would say, "join a small group," but then the small groups would be full. So, I would message them in the offering, and they would not respond, so I would message again, and they would say "sorry.' Francis would say he did "not have anything better to do than to love people," but I did not find this to be true. He seemed more concerned if he could wear earrings as pastor, and drive a sportscar. His role as pastor seemed to overrule any elders that were there. Three to get ready: There was a sense of expectation, but over time, it ended in disappointment, so I had to leave. He would say that there are seasons, affirming the change of leaving, and then later saying "breezing by the Holy Spirit," once again bringing confusion. I met some wonderful people at this church, but I learned to avoid celebrity preachers. I hope it is better now. Do not allow preachers to tell you anything not supported by the Bible, and make sure the interpretation is correct. Grace and peace to you.
