Passionate men and women of God. Loved their community & class development. Co pastor is an eloquent skilled preacher & so is the female pastor. My kids have participated in youth ministry classes also. One I saw 1 donuts for 5$ I was like ok. We poor. Can’t afford that fund raiser or not. No problem. Then I asked if it’s non denominational. I was told it wasn’t. It was the evangelical church. Ok. Looked it up. They were in the news a lot during Trump campaign. Polarized. No problem. I’m looking for Jesus. I want to serve also. Today I saw a live scan in the entrance. I asked why is that there. Man says if you want to volunteer you must be. I was like “WHAT?” He says well if you with with the kids that matters. I TOTALLY AGREE. I say but what if you want to just be an usher. He says, you have to ask someone else. So I do ask someone else and they say yes everybody has to be live scan and I said well what if you’re an ex felling like me and they say well that someone will call you and we’ll find the best place for you. I was on the dark side before I became a Jedi. I think that the very expensive donuts in the live scanning just was a turn off for me. The pastor just said as I’m writing this, We have more donuts even though they’re expensive they’re expensive for a good cause. I think a good cause is also to not turn God‘s house into a money changers place in the name of any good deed, be it feeding the homeless, be it summer camp, clothing those without clothes or the young man outside seeking hotdogs with bacon wraps, But that still doesn’t make me feel as uncomfortable as a live scan. Especially in these days of cell phone overreach, fb listening, government overreach, and the New World order. I just wanna serve Jesus. My back ground check to sweep or mop or greet is to much for me personally. But everyone else this may be terrific. Feels republican to me. Conservative. Evangelical I guess. I love the diversity at the church and messages from the pastors. Everyone is very welcoming and they teach directly from the bible without the political messages so many other churches regularly incorporate in their message. I signed up for a Thanksgiving Food box at Midtown Church this year. I managed to get on the list, and was excited to get a little extra help for the holiday. I signed up for delivery, which was accepted and approved, and I confirmed my address a few days before. The box was due to be delivered last Tuesday 9am-2pm... except it never arrived. I have emailed the church 3x over the past week, and left a voicemail, but no one has responded. Makes me wonder if a volunteer just took my box home with them and are now ghosting me. Makes me feel sad and disappointed. It's hard for families nowadays, and I was really looking forward to this. If someone from the church sees this, please reply to my email. I'm sure my food box and $20 gift card to purchase a turkey are long gone by now, but accountability for this type of thing is important, for whoever was in charge of the charitable distribution, so this doesn't happen to other people. Visited from out of town and very much enjoyed the service at 8AM. Worship was awesome, and Pastor Bob definitely has a gift to spread the gospel. I'll absolutely plan on attending again if I'm ever back in Sacramento. I also look forward to their new building opening up next month! Midtown Church is a Wonderful Church to go Worship, Praise, Socialize, and Fellowship with other Believers. The Pastors and Church Staff are very Friendly and supportive. You Feel The Love and Good Vibes from the moment you walk to the front door even before you walk in the building because you are Greeted by Church Staff and Members that will make you pfeel Very Welcome and Happy Too See You There! I was Very Pleased and Happy I Visited Midtown Church on Easter Sunday! 🩷🌷🩷🥰
