What visitors say
Too much rah rah & fakeness, especially with old pastor. Decided on smaller more welcoming church with real message of help & hope for ALL in community no matter ages or wealth. Church shrunk during covid & is rebuilding now, including the music & handbell programs. Great kids & adult programs & participates in community program for warming shelter meals. (Also has a separate day are if you need those services.) & currently is home to the Salinas Senior Singers. I like this church so much better than Compass which used to be known as 1st Presbyterian. Great place to worship: contemporary worship music helps connect with God. Pastor. Todd preaches the Bible as it applies to us. Its a great church. They also have Bible study in English and Spanish My home church, so I am biased. Jesus is preached here. Ministries are for the community. Pastor wears Hawaiian shirts. Marina has a small intimate setting as opposed to the traditional worship service of the brick church or the concert style of the main campus. Laid back setting that just wants to introduce you to our Lord Jesus. Compass is a unique Church. There are three campuses one on Padre one on Main Street and on Crescent in Marina. There is one message about God's love. But matter where you are, watching on TV in your home, or while in prison, we are one family in Christ.
