My family wanted me to join them for Easter service so found myself here. There was literally nothing that I disliked; I’m not a normal churchgoer but didn’t feel out of place. The experience was uplifting and wonderful! Yes, it’s loud AKA they’ve got a really great band. The message was delivered in a way that was easily understood, appreciated the occasional levity and the accompanying graphics (to read along) were greatly appreciated. Right off 5 freeway, parking was easy and excellent traffic management for a quick exit. I’m thankful that I went and actually want to go again. This is a review as somebody who was bringing in a band to perform at a Memorial service at this church. It was extremely difficult to get people to respond to multiple emails and messages to get information about what was being provided and what I would have to bring. Finally I was told that certain instruments would be available to us. And later I was able to speak to a sound man the day before the event. He confirmed the available instruments and even said that they would also provide a piano. That was great news. And then later at 9:30 at night before an 8 AM call the following morning we were told that some promised instruments were no longer available to us. Not the way to treat people who are there to serve a widower and his family in mourning. Unprofessional and super disappointing. And so upsetting it made me leave this review. This is the second time I've attended this particular church today, on Mothers Day, and we had a great experience with the campus, preacher, and friendly congregants. We will definitely be headed back next Sunday!!! My experience on Dec 23, 2025. The Christmas service at this church was absolutely horrifying! As an ex-Christian, and one who has not stepped foot into a church in years this was a solidifying experience as to why. The music was sooo obnoxiously loud, my 82 yr old father had to remove his hearing aids, and then we both had to plug our ears! It's now the day after Christmas and my ears are still ringing from the damage. Then you have the distraction of the glaring light show and fog machines. But hey, it's all theater for baby Jesus's 🍿 bucket for "In God We Trust" fiat currency. The show was so annoying when the popcorn bucket was passed to me, I thought maybe my neighbor wanted me to get a refill from the concession stand. Was there a message at this church? Absolutely there was! We are completely intolerant to loving others, so much so that we will bash another church during our Christmas service to do it. One 🌟 is kind. I was excited to attend the Christmas Eve Eve service. You can never get enough of the Christmas story. I love hearing and learning about baby Jesus. However as a member of The Church Of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints, I was saddened that you would use the platform of Christmas to have a video from Brother Zundel belittle another Christian church. In a day where we need more kindness, more compassion, more Christianity, How sad that the member of your church had to grab my hand and apologize for her church saying unkind remarks about another church. That's not very Christlike. She also apologized for "The Popcorn Bucket" being passed at the beginning asking for donations. Wouldn't it be more appropriate to mention a family who may need a little help during the holidays and if we would like to contribute please see an usher after. The music selections were awesome. Merry Christmas Harbor Point Church.
