Wonderful Church! Friendly, thoughtful congregation. Priest is approachable, very intelligent. His sermons are second to none. Church space itself is beautiful -full of art and light and music. Music program in fact is one of the very best in California. Be sure and stay for the coffee hour. You wont want to have lunch later.. and the church seems to really value what they have- and that includes each other and newcomers. This church was built in the 1960's to replace a surplus chapel back in the day. The grounds are quite beautiful and it even has a labyrinth outside that is open to the public to meditate through. The dress code is really lax -- you can dress up or show up in sandals and t-shirt. And if you're not familiar with the liturgy of an Episcopalian church, the nice people at the entrance will hand you a bulletin so you can follow along. Found this place to be really special for my spiritual journey. My wife and I have been attending All Souls' for the last three years. In our time at the church, we have been welcomed by an amazing faith community. Members of All Souls' are both caring and dedicated to serving those in need across San Diego. There are ample opportunities to both volunteer and meet tons of really nice people. I have loved attending All Souls' and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new church. Beautiful venue for recital. Stained glass windows breathtaking. Garden wonderful for receptions. The community of people at All Souls are GREAT! For me, finding a Church home was all about the community of people; to have other Christians surrounding my husband and I that share our faith-based values. It was also about having the leadership of the Church direct and guide us through the difficult road of life, towards a deeper personal relationship with God. Father Douglas is an excellent leader. And, he preaches practical, timeless, real and vulnerable lessons that seem to apply directly to my life on a weekly basis. We’ve finally found a spiritual home that fills all our needs for us, and that doesn’t preach politics or pander towards the popular secular opinions of society today.
