What visitors say

Exploring San Diego's Catholic churches led me to Christ the King last Sunday. What an amazing experience! The service was truly uplifting, especially with the incredible gospel choir. Their voices filled the beautiful church with such joy and energy. It was definitely a highlight of my visit. Christ the King is surprisingly accessible by public transportation, making it a great option for anyone. And if you're looking for a service with a vibrant, Baptist-inspired feel, this is the place to be. The 8:30 am Mass on Sundays is where the choir shines! Plenty of parking. This place has changed a lot. They are very disorganized and don't return your calls. I went there trying to get a copy of my husband's certificate of baptism and they have not gotten back to me. It's a shame because now my husband is being deported due to a missing document that this disorganized place could not give me. I am highly disappointed. The parking lot if still as horrible as it was over 20 years ago. Very crowded, not structured. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Inside, the sanctuary offers a serene atmosphere, enhanced by thoughtful design details that inspire reflection. Beyond its physical beauty, Christ the King has been a cornerstone for its diverse congregation, offering various Masses that cater to different cultural expressions of faith. The church's commitment to inclusivity and service makes it a cherished institution in San Diego. HISTORIC CHURCH HELPING THE COMMUNITY AND INDIVIDUAL CASES FROM DIFFERENT AREAS IN OUR LIFE,TEACHING THE COMMUNITY BEING RESPONSIBLE AND BE KIND TO EACH OTHER JUST LIKE JESÚS CHRIST WANT US TO BE. It's supposed to be a Catholic church but has major Baptist vibes. The priest you can barely understand him. They should get a Spanish speaking priest that you can understand easily, for the Spanish mass. It's not hard to request one. SAN DIEGO has lots of Spanish speaking priest but somehow they don't go to Christ the king Baptist church
