Im only giv8ng a 2 star because nobody talked to me at this church when I visited with a member afew times like 6 years ago. She is black I am only 8 different nationalities and not black, my son is. I did recognize how they really lift up the young black chikdren and it is absolutely the only time I've ever seen this done, mind you I am from Oakland CA was raised by a black foster family and attended an all black baptist church. This is absolutely an amazing church, and these people got it right! Heck, they really emphasize education, abd repeatedly tell their young kids they are strong and black. I did not invite my son ofcpurse, because he would have noticed the shunning. I highly value education and my son did graduate from U.C.S.D.and is blessed to have a mother like me. Unfortunately nobody seemed to notice. That's o.k. cuz Hod does. I still recommend this church if you are black, though. God bless. I feel the Spirit of the Lord GOD every time I walk into the sanctuary! The prayer time, the worship music, the testimonies, the preached WORD, the joy, the fellowship...I could go on and on! It all is firmly based in the Bible and inspires me to run harder and faster for JESUS!! When I first visited Grace Covenant I was in desperate need of a church home. I had just given my life to Jesus but needed somewhere special to serve him. I was attending The Rock but not connected to it. I missed the closeness of a real "Church Home" and real praise & worship. I immediately felt loved and welcomed when I stepped into Grace. The genuine love of everyone drew me in but the praise & worship kept me there. I found a place to plant my feet and grow my roots. It has been 7 years I came to Grace on a Tuesday night prayer, and I now am raising my children in this Holy Ghost filled, God fearing, praise & worship lifting Church Home. This is a spirit filled church! The worship was like no other. You will definitely feel the presence of the Lord! The Word is so rich. The senior Pastor breaks down the word of God so that it is simple to understand. I like how they have other Pastors that brings the word. They all have different ways but it is all powerful! This church spreads a lot of love and are very welcoming. I came out here to go to school and I was looking for a home away from home. I found it when I came here! Not only do the people here show you so much love, they also preach the truth and you can tell that the relationships that the people have here with God are genuine. It is what inspired me to develop my own close and personal relationship with God, and the teachings that I have received here are what has brought me to this point in my relationship with God today! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this church for anyone who truly wants to feel the presence of the LORD and grow in his/her walk with Him. I give Grace Covenant Christian Church of the Harvest 5 stars all the way.
